Best Strategy for Social Bookmarking for SEO

Hi,

I will soon begin a SEO for a e-commerce site.I will start with creating blogs and Social bookmarking.

I need to know how can I effectively do social bookmarking ? Where can i put links (if any ) , keywords , ? Should I do it for tier-1 or tier-2 sites ?

    You should submit your sites to the high page social bookmarking sites.
    Link is link in the social bookmarking, the titles are used as the anchor texts, keywords whatever you tell them and add some short, relevant tags to your bookmark.

    Yes, you can do the bookmarking for tier 1, or tier 2 links also.

    Don't use social bookmarking as a primary strategy and don't do blasts. Built a good private network of web 2.0 sites as tier 1 and then build links to these sites.

    SEO can be tricky and is the most important step, recommend leaving that to a seo experts for best results, Yea it may cost a couple of bucks -- but will save you time

      What about those who cannot afford to hire an SEO expert? Or those who get no lasting results after paying a not so great SEO "expert"?


      Social Bookmarking is still an integral part and very effective part of an SEO strategy - but social bookmarking is not all that needs doing. Social bookmarking is a bit of give and take, you need to be active and bookmark other sites offering something back to the community. They are also social. One tip I would give is to not only social bookmark your sites alone, this will get you nowhere.

    Start with Twitter, StumbleUpon, G+, Reddit, Digg, Diigo, Delicious, etc. sites. Don't just add keyword in the title. Try to look genuine and write a sentence of about 6-7 words with your keyword in it.
    Also if the site is just built, I would suggest you go for Directory submission first(Niche related and country relevant is more effective).

    1. For tier 2 links.
    2. Create accounts with top bookmarking sites and bookmark your site/blog, ensure you have a complete profile setup and engage your users professionally, you will receive some traffic.

    No need to blast and focus only in social networking sites alone. Its a bad one. Do it in only High PR sites, that's enough. Social bookmarking, web 2.0 submissions, blog posting, blog comments and many more strategies are available to try...
