How I made $100 from Adsense in a day!

Well.

First off, I did do prep work. So it's not like just out of the blue I decided 'today I will make $100 from AdSense with no pre-existing resources'. But basically, this is what I did.

a) (Total) list size of about 7,500
b) Sent them to an offer
c) Had adsense on the offer page
d) Included a few social/share elements on the page, etc.

And it was nice to see that I got about $100+ in adsense revenue.

Point of the post is:

a) I was amazed/pleased to see something that I did with respect to adsense worked nicely. So just sharing that. (I am currently figuring out how to generate $$$ through adsense).
b) Sharing a tip you could try out. Once users have opted into your form, and say are about to leave (haven't purchased, etc) - you could try implementing some adsense code on it. While it might not result in 'tons' of cash, the pennies add up and might be a nice pizza at the end of the month!

[EDIT]: Reading some of the posts, I realize I should be a bit more clear. The $100 was 'after' anyone who had wanted to make a purchase of the main product did, so this was like 'bonus' money... Cheers!

Cheers!

Sounds like a strategy that's worth testing to some point.

However, it's questionable if you make more from your list this way then by just focusing on promoting products.

As a product creator you don't seriously promote affiliate products to your list, unless it is something that every person on your list needs and you get paid a high commission per sale.

It's worth testing for sure, but it's not clear how profitable it is.

    • Indeed, you raise some good points.

For my test (what I was doing), it was actually a nice 'adsense' profit. (Previous things I had been doing was only getting $8-$25, which, while "good", wasn't the goal I wanted).

But you are correct that its important to test on a case by case basis. And this could be a 'little' bit extra for someone if they've already gone through the 'standard' sales funnel and don't purchase.

      Cheers!

    • Kind of curious to hear your thinking behind having adsense on the page. Surely if you was to send out your email to a targeted list of subscribers to buy a product, then I wounder how many sales you lost with them click throughs to other websites? Interesting thing for you to test .
  • Nice job here. Have you tested other offers to see which ones is most profitable - with your 7,500 list?

    • Thanks -- yes, I should have pointed out/made it more clear I suppose in the original post that the adsense revenue was "after" the people who wanted to make a purchase did. (So the $100 was like 'bonus' money)...

But yes, I am still testing to find out what combo works the best...

  • I'd rather make $200 from the extra sales that the AdSense ads drove away.

    • Some lists are just unresponsive to offers.

I have a few sites where I capture emails and send updates to visitors when a new article is posted. Basically every 2-3 days.

Every article has adsense ads obviously.

Every site has from 10k to 60k subscribers.

And daily profit is fluctuating wildly. Some days are $150 days, some days are $800 days.
I just don't know why, despite that I'm testing all things hard.

It looks like this in the end of the day:

  • I am pretty sure you will make way more if you recommend a product that would help them. 7500 people. Even if 10 people bought it would be much more then $100.
  • Very interesting test. Now I would like you to send the same people a similar product with no ad sense, and see if you get more or less sales
  • Great job at squeezing every bit of income out of your traffic.

Some people will never take you up on your offer. Giving them another option to click will result in easy money for you.

  • CTR should be normal and in a flow like one day 100 dollars and next day 5 dollars can get your account banned
  • List building + Adsense???!!!???

Who has ever heard of such an animal...how odd...yet...how brilliant at the same time...
  • Great post! I will definitely use implement this in my master plan >
