  • Chris,

You can also submit your site to Google webmaster tools and it can give you some tips on what needs to be fixed. Third party software will give you more detail but webmaster tools is a good supplemental tool.

Here is a good post on how to use it,

    Hope that helps,

Try out https://ahrefs.com/index.php for a pretty comprehensive back link analysis of your site. However, it's important to note that these services don't crawl through every link, and it can take them months to find all of them. As for analyzing your on page content, only you can do that (or a professional). No automated software can tell you what needs to change.

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!

Ahrefs is great. However it is pretty limited eith free version. You have just 9 "sessions" (request) so if you are using ahrefs, use it wisely.

Generally I used to check my websites SEO by this online SEO checker - SEO Tools, Software and Articles - SEO Site Checkup

I think it will work for your too. Besides that, you can use Google Webmaster tool. That is wholly awesome. So, check out both of them.
