Will Backlinks to homepage boost inner-page rankings?

For example, if I write a post about "how to make a stink bomb"

The actual post has 0 backlinks
but the website homepage has 10 high quality backlinks

How much power does the homepage backlinks have on a the stink bomb post within it?

    No, you don't have to have external links pointing at every single internal page on your site. You do need some external links so don't jump on the anti-link bandwagon.

    Search the forum for silo, it will help reduce (not eliminate) the number of external links needed.

    Basically build up one page with external links, then branch off to additional relevant internal pages.

    Yes, if you domain ranks high, it influences the single posts. Think of those posts which you have published and Google has just indexed. They will rank high and will defeat the posts of competitors with lower domain rank than yours. It means that the links to homepage matter. They give it the PR. But all your pages need referring quality links to get a persistent ranking. You can build quality backlinks. Go for do-follow high PR blogs with CommentLuv and participate the discussion there. You will get quality links.

    Yes, some authority will be passed from your homepage to your internal pages.
