What is wrong with this website? SEO Okay, low comp EMD, indexed, but no ranking!?

Hey warriors,

Like a week ago I bought a new EMD domain. This one:

www.beautyuniforms.net

It has really low competition and exact match is 2400. Now I've built a nice small adsense site on it with good unique content and it's very good SEO optimized for the exact match keyword "beauty uniforms". Not much content yet, but in my experience it should be enough to rank the site.

I know my site is indexed because when I type the domain into google then it finds my domain with my meta description. BUT... it also finds some old junk pages on my domain which are from an old user of the domain name. Here's a printscreen:

THE PROBLEM
The website is indexed but when I track the rank of the website, I can't find it anywhere. Also market samurai can't find the rank . But I'm SURE it's indexed.

So now i'm thinking I have low to no ranking because of this website which has been on my domain. I can't think of any other reason because all my other adsense sites are ranking good while I used the same strategy for all of them.

Does anyone know what could be the problem in this case and what I could possibly do about it?

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Give it a few days its s brand new site google needs to decide where to place it. Try pinging it and post a link in fb and twitter. Posting it here helps too :-)

Yeah, like the above poster said, give it some time.

Continue to add quality content and you should be fine.

      Good luck!

This is why you should always investigate a domain thoroughly before buying it. In any case, its been a week, which is a bit early to be panicking.

Thanks John and you're right, it's indeed a bit early to be panicking. But the thing is that I have more similar EMD adsense sites which ranked in days after they've got indexed. The only difference is that this domain was used before.

Can you tell me what is important to do research on BEFORE buying a domain? Do I have to use domaintools.com or something similar to that?

Try to deindex all those pages, and this is one of the very simple solution to fix this issue.

Do a site-wide 301 redirect from the 404s to the Index page to catch any old external backlinks that were built before you bought the domain.

If those old pages don't exist anymore, Google will clean up the SERPs eventually, the 301 redirect will help consolidate any old links (like I said above).

Third party software is always going to be slower than Google, no big deal.

You website has EMD, which is why it is ranking for the keyword. On the other hand, comparing to other competitors’ of the niche, it still has to rank.
As far as old pages are concerned, they will appear in the search results. If you don’t want them to see, you may remove them from the index using URL removal tool in Google webmaster tools.
