SEO- beginners Question

Hi,

I have 2 basic questions:

a) If I write an article, and simply copy and paste it to Ezines and a few other directories, will these count as backlinks (if I have a link t my main article in my resource box). Or will it be viewed as duplicate content?

b) Do people still use spinners? Or are they a waste of time?

Thanks

Adam

Although spinning content in distributing the insights referencing media rich content, it can still be effective at a mass scale.

If you do not have the resources to outsource at a mass scale.

My recommendation would be to stick to what you have a value and that is your insights and ideas and put that into your content. People will then syndicate your information in providing you valid long-lasting Backlinks

building links from article directories have less impact than before after the recent Google update more especially if you're using the same anchor text throughout all the directories you're making the submission.

forget bout all those spinning tools. write high quality articles and submit to trusted directories.

No decent directory will accept a spinned content.

The reason I don't use spun article anymore is that if google perform a manual audit on the SEO for my site it will surely get banned very quickly as spun content looks so spammy. You may get away with it for a small amount of time but eventually you will get caught.

I agree. I have been doing it for years focusing on EA, less so on other directories, and only 2-3 more of them.

Firstly, even your copied article will be counted as backlink but your site won't get benefited from it as Google will consider it as duplicate content. Secondly, Article spinning is helpful a little bit now-a-days, but it's best to use unique content everytime.

If you spin make sure you spin it to a great extent. Try to make it around 70-80% unique and dont use the spun content for a ton of backlinks. If you can afford to have unique content for your backlinks it will be great. You can use the spun content for backlinks of the backlinks (tier 2 links).

Forget ezine and the other mainstream "article sites". Google hates them. A link from ezine articles HARDLY has any value anymore.
