A Permalinks Question

So, I just changed up my permalinks structure on my site after about 8 months of it being one way. My question is, now that I changed my permalink structure my links in Google don't direct to the right page because all my posts are changed from "example.com/post-name" to "example.com/category/post-name"... Do the links ever get corrected in Google or should I just say forget it and change it back?

  • Nevermind guys.... I just 301 redirected all my old urls to my new ones.
  • When you change your pernament link, did you rebuild the sitemap ? and resubmit the sitemap ?
