Can anyone direct me to a thread on link-building?

Posted this question in the main section, probably better placed here. Any input appreciated !!

'If i do a search obviously masses come up..

I did find an excellent one, one with lists of directories to post at, and ways to find potential links with codes link :inurl etc -

Does anyone have a link to a practical and GOOD thread that they have read? Ive searched the stickies and there are some excellent ones, but not as specific as I am looking for? As I say I did find a brilliant one, but for some reason can't find it in my bookmarks.....hopefully someone reading this will think 'yes, this is the one he is looking for'!

I am also a member of the war room if anyone has read or can recommend any useful and practical link-building literature there.

      thanks for the thread link...had a quick but good look at the thread...there is 2 or 3 posts that give some good ideas of how they go about it...but i was looking more for a guide from beginning to end of a strategy of link-building...really sure I read one on here, and was hoping someone just thought 'yes this is the one this chap means!'

        Check out backlinko.com - I think it's a new blog but there are already some useful things on there for backlink building.
