Why are people peddling with free traffic when there is unlimited paid traffic?

I usually wonder why people long for some free traffic when there is plenty of paid traffic. The only obstacle would be money and that is the only reason I restrain using paid ads. If I had it then i will dive in head long into paid traffic. That is it. And I do not mean some IM niche but in other niches.

But guys don't you think that there are some people out there never saying a word and absolutely crushing it in other niches? I believe so. And that is what I want to be so help me Lord!

Most people love free stuff on the internet... thus also free traffic. They don't want to spend money for generating the traffic while there are alot of paid traffic kinds.

Do not be wrong with me, the free traffic can be used for building an online business in both short term and long term. and also the paid traffic.

The traffic is tend as slow way to get potential customers. The paid traffic is fast way to get them.

Ya free traffic is not irrelevant but it is too tiresome and requires lots of patience to generate. As I said it earlier I have lost patience with free traffic and am getting into paid traffic as soon as I can. What amazes me is that some people have the money to advertise in paid ads but they are mostly creating IM products, Is it because they tried paid ads and failed or what?

    Unlimited Paid Traffic?
From where? I would love to have unlimited paid traffic.
I always run out of searchers before I run out of budget.

I tried paid traffic in the past with adwords and yahoo however I'm not sure about unlimited traffic but at least I heard some people talk about it and it seems right because when you see the amount of impressions some networks receive, I think we can conclude that there is plenty of paid traffic.

Even I would like to get this unlimited free traffic, even if I have to pay a bit extra for that. Let me know how this is possible and where is this unlimited traffic coming from.

Such a broad question. "Unlimited?" Where? How much? There is no such thing as truly unlimited traffic.

Anyway, people prefer free because, well, it's free. What many SHOULD be doing is reinvesting a bit of their profits from free traffic into PPC. (As long as they learn the ropes before diving in.)

Because free traffic is far less riskier. And when you perfect a free traffic method, the ROI is better. =]

But still, my main reason for not using PPC is I find it intimidating. I get a nice amount of free traffic to my site, and PPC would really help, but its ridiculous how expensive it is. $30 a click seems more like gambling to me than marketing. I'd rather use that $30 to rank 6 youtube videos with fiver. Then those videos will bring in traffic for a long time and I don't have to touch them.

It also depends on what your site has to offer. If you sell products then paid trafic (along with organic one) will boost your sales. On the other hand I can't imagine someone running MFA paying for PPC traffic.

There's no such thing as free traffic.

SEO is a significant time and money investment.

The reason I do site building as opposed to paid traffic is that a site is an asset. And if you diversify your traffic sources (which you should) it's a valuable asset.

On the other hand, a PPC campaign is only worth something as long as you pour money into it. As soon as you cut off your budget you're not making jack.

Well, this is the SEO forum as well....

People long for free traffic for just about the same reasons across the board.

    1) They think they have the best site in the world and google owes them.

    2) They don't have a real business, so paid advertising makes their
stomach turn. Besides, they don't have the money anyway. Which
means, they never should have started in the first place. But they
knew a guy who heard it from a guy who bought a domain and
installed WP. Go back to #1.

Some of us know nothing is free. We either pay because we consider
our businesses real, or we pay with our hard work. It takes money
either way. Either you have a job to support yourself until the free
traffic builds to a substantial level, or you have seed money to pay
for advertising like every other real businesses.

Those who think start on free, probably have a higher rate of
    failing.

Higher rate of failing maybe, but definitely not impossible to succeed. It depends on the person's situation and sometimes they really don't have any capital to start with. I personally started as a 17 year old student, no money (half a brain) and I've managed to make enough to pay for a fair bit of my university fees now. I say it's about the situation because some of us aren't in the business for the long run. For me it's a means to an end and definitely not something I can see myself doing when I graduate. Because I'm in it for the short term, does it make more sense to buy paid traffic or organic traffic? Definitely the latter because it makes my sites somewhat more liquid when the time comes that I need to sell it.

Don't get me wrong though, if you have the money to invest then it'll make your life a lot easier, but don't let not having money to start with deter you from an industry where there's obviously money to be made.

I had a builder in my office one day complaining that he was paying $1.15 per click for Adwords. I asked him what his average profit was per job (he specialises in decks). He said $35,000.

I asked him to leave. Some people have no idea about the numbers.

For Offline clients, i do a balancing game, start with PPC so they get the results quickly and then start with SEO , thus reduce the PPC cost in long run. It works great
