1- What is the first step to get ranking?
Please share your 5 tips to get ranking.

2- Also tell me which type of backlink is best now day?

Yes.... Content is the king! now-a-days. Once your content gets indexed, start submitting your website to relevant niche related directories. Keep updating your site with fresh content on a regular basis. Also do Social Bookmarking on authority websites like Twitter, G+, StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit, etc.

1. Analyze your competition. No point in going after a really tough keyword or phrase unless you're willing to spend a lot of time and potentially money.

2. Properly optimize your page / content.

3. Backlinks. Quality over quantity.

Have a quality content in your webpage which is more popular in search it will give ranking.
Now a days forum posting and article submitting is best to get backlinks.

After completing on-page SEO, you should start building quality backlinks for your website. For that you should do Blog Posting (including Guest Blogging), Blog Commenting, Social Bookmarking, Forum Posting, Directory Submission and social sharing. Remember that you should have quality and unique content for your website. So write quality content and post on your blog or someone else's blog. This will help you a lot, I think so.

Build backlinks. My favorite backlinks are authority .gov with low OBLs. I have my link on two ,gov PR6 pages.

you can optimize your website on page like content, header tags, meta tags, url, keywords, image alt tags and after that you can do the link building.

Find a good keyword to rank for, with low competition. Add unique content to your site and optimize your page for the search engines, then start building backlinks on different sites. Dont use automated software or tools to increase your rankings.

If you done your On Page then surely you got Target Keyword so there is five tips you have to do now:

1-Submit your website your website to all search Engine
2-Do some Niche link directory
3-Do some High PR Bookmarking
4- Article Submission
5-PR Submission
And i don`t think if you are a good seo then i have to teach you other activities:p:p:p

  No offense, but for those who have suggested:
  
  1. directory submission
  2. social bookmarking
  3. blog commenting
  4. article marketing/submission
  
  They can kiss their rankings goodbye...
  
  Doesn't anyone know anything about Goodle Panda anymore? Doing anything bulk isn't going to do any good to your google ranking. Those days were history when we can rank websites by submitting to thousands of directories and article sites.
  
  The only SEO techniques still worth doing are:
  
  1. to provide great user-experience (site design, navigation, sitemap & etc.)
  2. to provide users with the content they are looking for (do your research)
  3. not to optimize for google (or any search engine), instead, optimize for your visitors.

i) Submit to all the major search engines
ii) Article submission with backlinks
iii) Tweeting, Facebooking and social bookmarking
iv) YouTube marketing and backlinking
v) Pinging

Best type of backlinks?
I personally feel that article submissions are pretty good for SEO purposes. Despite what many people say, it is still getting me results
