Do I need Scrapebox and/or something else?

Hi

Firstly I have and use localizer but it does not do exactly what I want for this task.

I have read a lot about scrapebox and watched the videos - and I am not sure if it will do the firts task I have.

First task.
I want to scrape url's from specific sites eg membership sites or this random example - an exhibitors list.
100% Design 2013 - 2012 EXHIBITOR LIST

Usually these url's are 1 level down form the page with the list.

Second task
Having got this list of URL's I want to feed them into a scraper and scrape contact details from each of these url's

Localizer will scrape contact details from sites - but it only works if I enter key words - it will not let me import a list of url's to scrape.

I hope I have explained myself correctly - if not please ask.

Is there one or two tools that will do this for me.

Note I also have Business Leads Miner for yellow pages but it does not do what I want and it is a big hassle because of having IP blocked and it is a lot of work to find suitable proxies.

Any suggestions welcome.

  • Just a fair warning, you came to the most Whitehat community on the internet asking for advice on how to use spam tools to collect leads.

Then you also admitted to having IPs blocked and not being able to find suitable proxies to continue your spamming efforts.

Scrapebox is powerful for the use you want it to do, but it's definitely not a long term profitable business.

Best of luck to you if this is the business you're looking to engage in, but I would advise you to reconsider doing something that doesn't involve breaking laws or only profiting (maybe) short term profits (if you profit anything).

    • Hi Corey

Thanks for your advice. What did I say that suggested I will be spamming anyone or broke any laws?

What do you mean by 'spam' - sending unsolicited emails? - I did not mention emails, or am I planning some other form of spam? - what?

Is it not ok to search websites to find contact details of businesses? Should I be buying paper directories and getting the details from those?

I used Business Leads Miner and got blocked by YP because my REAL IP is in the UK, not US and indicated I did not want the hassle of finding proxy IP's. What exactly did I say wrong about IP's

Maybe it is using an automated tool you do not like - there seem to be a number of them for sale on this "most White Hat Forum"

Is it possible that you read more than I wrote?

Assuming others do not 'read' more than I have written, I am still keen to find if Scrapebox or some other tool will do the two tasks I referred to.

      Thanks CKventure
    • Hi Corey

I am still waiting for your explanation for the unfounded accusations about why I enquired about scrapebox (which, by the way despite your confirmation that it is what I would want - it is not).

If you cannot back up your accusations I would be happy with a retraction + apology if you are gracious enough

      Thanks CKventure

  • My suggestion is best post this type of inquiry at the review section of the forum.

    • Thanks - I will have a look at that
  • I got scrapebox. It does way more then just commenting on blogs. Good tool with lots and lots of features. I don't even use it for commenting !!!!!

    Worth the price
  • Totally useless if you ask me, google has parameters in place that detect spamming of blogs, forums etc... with scrapebox programs, it will hurt you in the long run... Natural Rankings will get you ahead.

    • I did not mention anything about spamming blogs. If you read my post again you will see I am looking for something completely different - Corey also seemed to read something I did not say.

      Thanks CKventure
    • Scrapebox is far from useless. I've been using it on a nearly daily basis for the past year and a half and can't remember the last time I even used the "fast poster."
  • The OP said nothing about using this to spam web sites for backlinks.. he's wanting to dig up contact details of the sort you would find in the yellow pages (which suggests names, phone numbers, physical addresses, etc)..
  • Just thought I'd chime in on this... you don't need scrapebox to do this. What you need is the program by the same owner as "The Best Spinner" i believe the program is web dataparser. You can then load in the list and parse such info. I hope this will help you.

  • I never liked the idea of scrapebox and anyone I have talked to that used it never really got any results from it as they don't know how to use it correctly

Also, those scrapebox users keep spamming my blogs!!

    • I worked pretty well back in the day. But now it's fairly useless when it comes to actually commenting on blogs. Though it's still great when it comes to automating a lot of boring tasks. (PR checks, DoFollow / NoFollow checks, Alexa checks, keyword discovery, URL harvesting, etc.)

One of my favorite things to do with it is dump a few hundred niche related keywords into the search harvester, tick "blogs," and set it to search for results from the past "24 hours only." This is a great way to find and (manually) comment on new posts in your niche & generate some traffic.
