What type of title tag is more better while optimizing web site?

Hello everyone..
I am getting quite confuse about it that what type of title tag is more beneficial for optimizing website.

XYZ-ZYX or XYZ | ZYX

I not clear that much about what makes me more helpful.

    But I only use | if I'm separating a domain name from other text in the title.

    Difference between 'XYZ-ZYX or XYZ | ZYX' doesn't play a big role in SERPs I think so. Anyone had experienced in varying results on this regard? Please share it here.

    Title is only what is important in meta tags.
    Concerning XYZ-ZYX or XYZ | ZYX, they appear to be thesame to me, even though XYZ-ZYX is more appeared in SEO I'm using XYZ | ZYX as you can see in forum in my signature without any issue.
