It took me about a year to come to terms on a niche that i was completely comfortable with. That being said I made the decision to incorporate what i do at work with it since i am knowledgable about. The thing is is that my basic keywords are along the lines of. Surplus I.T. Equipment, Make Money From Home, Money Making Oppurtunites, Trading Surplus. I've learned in the past year of my expirience that mixing niches is not a good thing, But does that mean that my site will never be a success? Over the past year I've been learning SEO, Finding a niche, and designing my site. Its not completely done but i plan to actually launch it in the next two months. Before i launch it i need all my ducks in line. Can anyone tell me if what I'm doing is a waste of time, or can i actual be successful with what im doing. Let me know - Thanks

Actually, if you targeted one niche, go dipper into the niche and create website based on that.

Also, research keywords for the niche and use some low competitive keywords, it would help for sure.

At the very least, separate different themes in your website. Look into siloing your website, and making sure google knows what content in your site is related and what content isn't related.

What's wrong with making two different sites?

create a subdomain for each theme if you wish to brand yourself or your domain name otherwise you are better off creating a new domain for each niche. Focus on long-tail keywords. cheers

Subdomains would be a lousy idea. People are a tad misguided
as to what subdomains were designed for.

You took a year to find a niche? Design? Won't launch for a couple
      of months?

Check the date on that book you were reading. Does it say something
      like, oh, 1995?

if you want to be success make some themes for your niche , that is why they called niche , if you passion about that topics and have time to manage it so go , but focus on 2-4 website is a good start , make your website different from your competitor and make it special then Google will treat you well :-)
