  • Hey Beau, Great Question.

From my experience, when I google information
every single time, the top ranking websites are
separating the domain names with the "-" symbol.

I don't know why, but wordpress does that aswell.
Therefore a conclusion of my observation would be:
Separate the domain name words in the title with a "-".

    • Domain name is so very important but it is best to keep only 1 hyphen in name otherwise it looks too spammy for serps.... maybe add another word after domain name?

  • You lose type in traffic when you have hyphens.
  • How you choose to word it has no effect on your SERPs, it just has an effect on humans who see the link, and who type it in as James said. Whichever looks less spammy to you I would go with. It won't matter to Google.
  • @ your example: Having the keyword in the domain name will definitely improve your search engine ranking. I don't think that hyphens will make a difference when it comes to SEO.

Obviously, the domain name will be much better without hyphens when it comes to type-in traffic.
