  • If your site is new then a bit of google dancing is normal but generally if your link building is natural or indistinguishable from natural then you should not experience much Google dancing at all.

So i'd check your methods - are you building lots of low quality links? If yes then this is the problem.

    • Yes I think that maybe I've built much low quality backlinks , but the problem is that I can't check which links is . my site is Karen Millen Dresses Sale - UK Karen Millen Dresses Sale Outlet and the keywords is 1. karen millen dresses 2. karen millen sale 3. karen millen outlet
All the keywords rank down in a night.

Would you pls give me any suggestions?
      Thanks a lot
  • You don't need to do much. Just keep adding good content on regular basis and keep building links

    • I don't agree with that. Just Blindly building links can cause a problem. It is important to check were you are building the links. By the way, I would like to inform you that the Bookmarking site in your signature, isn't PR-4 anymore....

    • You are very helpful, KimSeo Style ) ........

Anyway, I think you've been hit by the Penguin algorithm.

Try to make backlinks with generic anchors like: click here, www.yoursite.com, for more click here.......

Check your anchors text of your backlinks, if you used to much as anchor text the keyword that you are targeting ......well this is the answer PENGUIN!

  • Hi,

Just saw your website. Its really good. The font of the price is a bit weird. I would suggest you to use something which would suit the theme of your website. Coming back to link building, I would suggest you to recheck the link you have built. Even if the links are built on bad sites, it will affect your website. So recheck them and if a lot of them are low quality, I would suggest you to remove them and get links on Nice Fashion related websites only. You can do Blog posting on Private Blogs as well. See my signature for more info.
  • Yes, this is most likely caused by Google dance. Just continue building links and this time focus and get more quality links. Try to do content creation and submission, comment on related forums and blogs, as well as continue posting new content to your website and doing on-page SEO.
  • You'll be fine, just don't stop building links.

Get some High PR links and them pyramid them.
  • Continue building your site. Don't focus on the Google Dance, it's going to happen and it will happen in an instant. Focus on building traffic to your site, adding new quality content, and progressing your business along.

If you put too much thought into rankings, you'll waste your time. Once your site settles down, then you'll have a better idea of how much effort you need to put into rankings, but for now, focus on what's important, your site and traffic.
  • Just add some good content and do your normal links. It will be get back. Don't do any spammy links.
  • I am also experiencing Google Dancing for the particular keyword am working, I guess PR update is going to happen very shortly. I am waiting for some positive results with the PR update
  • Try to put some fresh content on your site regularly, it would help.

And building slow link building using some quality and authority sites would help.
  • The way to get past Google dance is adding more content to your blog and building quality links. Create Google plus profile, Facebook and Twitter page for your website and link to them from your website. Encourage your visitors to share.
  • Google Dance for a 2-3-7 days after that you should get position back. In your case I think is a Google penalisation because your site decrease too much in serps.

Get your metatitle for home page and search for in Google. If you are not see your site in page one, it's a penalisation.

Get your root url nd search for in Google. If you are not see your site first, it's a penalisation.

    Good Luck!

    • Yep, totally agree with you. Such a big drop could be a penalty because in most cases, when a site is experience a Google dance, it usually dances between few pages of Google.

Like Karis said, do a search using your title or do a search like site:yourdomain.com and if your site doesn't show up #1, it could be a penalty. All the best.

  • Just make sure you are not making backlinks from spam to death sites.
  • In a few past days i have noticed very odd changes in Serps ...I have no explanation yet..but i guess they are testing something ...

Some sites are on first page , after several hours are listed on page 3... after other 3 hours got back on first page...

I do not really get what tha f... is going on?

    Is there somebody who knows?

    • Getting the same thing.

My site should be ranked #3... but ever since 3 days ago dances between 9 and 56.

At night time it goes back to 3, then by the time I wake back up it's back to dancing.

Im building a lot of related quality brand links ONLY right now. Natural as possible; reciprocal links, private links, sponsored links, the whole nine. Just going hard with brand related links ONLY to fight this.

Who knows if I'm right but I cant afford to sit around and watch my competitors outrank me for NO REASON.
  • My suggestion is that you need to update the information of your site and get backlinks from aughotrity sites in your niche. Google will realize that you have the best content and links from top dogs, and they may reward you for your efforts in the long run.
  • Create some manually built quality backlinks for your website. The backlinks which you should build look natural.
Also try to get some social signals as well from FB, Twitter, Pinterest.

Also diversify your traffic sources, so that you are not solely dependent on Google for traffic generation.

    1. If you give up on an entire site that easily, SEO isn't for you, look into paid traffic.
    2. If you give up on a site that easily, doesn't sound like you put much work into the site. People don't usually walk away from something so easily when they've invested a lot of time or money.

    My $0.002 (adjusted for inflation).
  • All you need is quality content and quality backlinks and you will be achieving the good results soon.
