Trouble Finding Blogs That Allow Comments For Your Niche?

Hey Warriors!

Here Is A solution I used to do which is still pretty effective.
This method involves a Wordpress Plugin so you will need a self hosted Wordpress site.

First I start by installing the Disqus Plugin on my site. I chose this plugin because in my opinion its the best coment plugin out! Plus, many high PR sites use it.

Now another reason why this one works well for this method is because, once you install it, it leaves a phrase around the words: "blog comments powered by Disqus" or something around that phrase on your comment box.

Another thing I like about it is that it allows "dofollow" posting, but I have heard that even if it is nofollow it may not make too much of a difference.

I also use Firefox, Which has good plugins to install which can help find out competition's page rank, backlinks, Alexa rankings and much more. Google Chrome does too but my preference is with Firefox

A couple Firefox plugins I recommend are:
SenSEO
Swoosty
SEO Status PageRank/Alexa Toolbar

That being said, after installing your plugins and setting up your account with Disqus,(which is free) you can now begin the your blueprint.

First Step:

On Google Search, enter in quotes "blog comments powered by Disqus". If entered correctly you can see that there are currently a total of around 212,000,000 pages that are able to be commented on.

Now out of that, Im sure you could find some pretty good pages for your niche. But this is way too many results to find some good ones to work with. That's why we are going to use a keyword to lower the results

Second Step:

For this Tutorial, We will use the keyword: Penny Stocks

Now you want to enter the keyword out of quotes, while still entering the rest in quotes. In other words like this:

penny stocks "blog comments powered by disqus"

If done correctly you should see around 622,000 results now for this phrase.

Third Step:

Next click the 1st result!

This should be:

Will Herbalife End Up a Penny Stock? - TheStreet

As you will see, it allows Disqus comments. You should write your comment in this format:

Comment should be somewhat valuable so it doesn't get deleted
Name Field Should Be Anchor Text(The keyword you want to rank for)
Website name should be in the website field

Also note that after you post one comment using disqus, you only have to write the comment from there on out for any other page you want to comment on and all the other fields are used automatically by the Disqus application cookies.

Fourth Step:

Now we search for all the pages on the site that are indexed in google.

For This particular site we would search:

http://www.thestreet.com/story/

Noticed what I did to it? The part directly after the section is usually the part called "blog" or in this case "story" or something along those lines. Keep that part and get rid of the rest.

Enter into Google search:

site: http://www.thestreet.com/story/

You should see around 403,000,000 results. But get this:

EACH ONE OF THESE PAGES CAN BE COMMENTED ON!c

But that's not what we want to do. Many of these will be PR 0 pages, but you will also find quite a few PR 1 and above pages as well.

Now the quick method of running through this list to find the good ones is by using a Url Tool to make the list into a text file. A pretty good and free one is Get Url which can be found here for free:

getURL | Download getURL software for free at SourceForge.net (not an affiliate link)

Make the list into a txt file, then import it through any PR program that allows you to check them quickly this way. Another tool that isn't bad to start out for PR's is The PaRaMeter tool found here free:

PaRaMeter - free Google PageRank software. Monitors Google page rank. (not an affiliate link)

Finally use the two programs to make the list with PR's and you will see all of the pages you would want to comment on.Also Notice how I only used one site in my example. Well imagine doing this for a couple and you will see how effective this could end up being for you.

And that's all there is to it. Your quick method of getting related backlinks for you niche fast and quite easily.

Hope You Enjoyed The Read Warriors! :p

I hate these sort of methods - they just clog up good blogs with worthless comments which are just there from people who know nothing about the niche just to get their link.

This sort of thing is why nofollow happened in the first place.

Are you not able to promote your site by having great content and spreading the word to people who actually care? rather than promoting to other people the habit of infecting good blogs with your irrelevant comments just so you get a link?

I think you should read the thread again because the title itself mentions blogs within your niche. I didn't say anything about spamming, I despise spamming which is why everyone should leave good comments everywhere they go. That will only bring them better traffic

This was true in the old days but platforms like Disqus and IntenseDebate are much more engaging. Your profile is ranked based on the value you add to the blogs. The more people who comment and 'Like' your posts, the higher your ranking. This makes it easier to weed out the crap from the genuine bloggers.

Yes, one good way of getting these types of links. They're still good to have as it offers diversity to your overall link profile.

The key issue here though as Andy correctly pointed out is "spamming". Carried out correctly though with real "participation" and a view to add real value to a post then there is nothing wrong in doing that.

Think about adding value and the "link" will follow as a result of that.

I'm going to develop a little tool that uses this same footprint.

This thestreet.com page has 98 Disqus comments, none of the comments are showing up in the Google Cache (text version), none of the comments are showing up on the live web page.

The comments you see on the live web page are from an iframe on the Disquis server.

Here are the actual comments for the live web page above, they're hosted on Disqus not thestreet.com:

    http://disqus.com/embed/comments/?f=thestreet&t_i=11824430&t_u=http://www.thestreet.com/story/11824430/1/the-hp-chromebook-rip-microsoft.html&t_t=The%20HP%20Chromebook:%20RIP%20 Microsoft&s_o=popular#1
Paste that Disqus iframe URL in your browser, you'll see a blank web page, now view the blank web page HTML source code & you'll see all the comments that are showing up on the live web page from thestreet.com.

    Good luck with that.
