I can't help but laugh at my competitors.. STOP DESTROYING YOUR BUSINESSES

With having 50+ Amazon sites, I regularly check out the SERPs. From time to time, I notice new competitors springing up who are trying to get their piece of the cake. Fair enough, there's nothing wrong with competition. I actually love it.

Me and one site had a battle for months, with both of us hopping between #1 and #2. It was awesome and gave me something to achieve. But, lately, it's just fantastic to see what approach my competitors are taking. Basically, this is what it looks like:

Day 1 - Competitor breaks into Google SERPs on Page 2 (number 15-20). I check backlinks, and see a few honest links - nothing unusual.
Day 3 - Competitor jumps up to 12.
Day 6 - Competitor rises to number 9. I check the backlinks again, notice 1,000 backlinks thus far.
Day 11 - Competitor gains a few spots to number 7.
Day 16 - Competitor heads further up, and rests at number 5.
Day 30 - Competitor finally lands at #3. I check backlinks again, and he has 35,000 backlinks (blog comments, wiki spam, you name it).
Day 45 - Site disappeared, deindexed, to never be returned.

The worst thing about all of this, is that these people are spending hours upon hours writing reviews, articles, and so forth. These sites are often jam packed with content that is all unique and looks great. But, they go ahead and ruin it all by trying to take Google for a mug.

The moral of the story... Stop trying to beat the system. You can't. It's now 2013. There's a reason my sites are at #1 and yours keep getting penalized.

Want my advice?

TAKE IT SLOW. IF YOU TAKE 5-MONTHS TO BEAT ME, THEN YOU'VE DONE IT ALL RIGHT.

You are a prime example of why people destroy their businesses. In a blog post, you state:

Now having one back link probably won’t do you any good so you will need hundreds, or even thousand of high quality backlinks.
      You then go onto state,

Now don’t let people fool you and tell you that rankings come from many backlinks
As a guide, my sites rank with 15-25 backlinks, which is hardly "hundreds, or even thousands" as you state.

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!
