Receiving payment by Cheque

Hi guys

I am in my 1st month of Adsense and at some point I am going to have to receive payment. However my company is in Cyprus and Google don't do electronic payments to Cyprus. The only option on my control panel is cheque.

Has anyone tried to cash a euro denominated cheque in another EU country other than where it was issued? What kind of fees were you charged?

  • You can't cash it in Cyprus? Are banks not cashing checks? The banks
    were in some real trouble recently.

    I assume EU banks cashing checks from other EU banks are covered by
    the same fees and regulations. That was the point of the EU and the
    euro, although it was a faulty system that had to crash eventually.

    A simple call to the bank would answer the questions.

  • I get ripped off on my bank for cashing non-GBP checks. I'd join Payoneer, and apply for a Payoneer U.S. bank account like I have. I'm not losing £500 on my monthly Amazon checks due to the money-scamming & scheming UK banks.
  • Sure I will cash it in Cyprus and I will call my bank but I wanted to know if anyone had expereince of it and if their charges are fair. I have seen horror stories about cashing USD cheques in Europe and I wondered if it's the same with Euro Cheques.
  • Don't cash USD cheques in Europe, There are lots of incidents happened already.
