I was horrified to see these web crawl errors for my website. Can somebody help me correct these errors. I tried reading the articles given in Google itself but didn't make much out of them:

Here:
Not found 308
URLs not followed 7

Unreachable URLs 12

Most of the results are from my WP Blog.

Thanks in advance

Lian

for not founds: If you delete pages, you must redirect them to another page, otherwise, they show up as not found.

urls not followed: are you using a robots.txt? This is not necessarily an ERROR. If you have urls, like one that you excluded in your robots.txt, that you don't want bots to follow, then they are going to show up here. That's ok.

Unreachable URLs: again, this is not necessarily an ERROR. It could just mean they are in your robots.txt.

The NOT FOUNDs are a problem. The other two, not so much.

I have a lot of 'not found' in there (300+). It's like almost all the blog post I made that's going down the drain. I still find it difficult to figure out how they were not found. I don't remember doing anything on my WP blog. I posted blogs, activated plugins. That's all.

Are these the result of publishing them first and then editing them later?

Did you change your URL structure at all? i.e. under SETTINGS/PERMALINKS... did you change this recently?

You can do one or two things... you can go into Google Webmaster Tools, and I think it's under TOOLS, there's a utility to remove URLS from the index. Be careful when you do this... it takes a couple of days, but they will get removed sooner or later.

Secondly, you can redirect those URLS to other pages. Do a "site:domain.com" (replace with your domain) and one-by-one, redirect each URL. You can do this in your .htaccess file (Google it), or I think there's a WordPress redirect plug in... you can look that up.

        Good luck!
