    All of the above.

And don't ignore joining communities interested in what you're promoting. Forums, blogs, social media site, etc. Go to where the people are instead of waiting for them to come to you.

Social Media sites like Twitter, Pinterest, etc. are famous now-a-days as they give a lot of traffic to many people these days. You must be smart enough to do it.

The SEO is not fast traffic, you need to be patient and persistent for this.

If you want to get the fast traffic, consider Adwords. You can get traffic in less than 1 hour if your bid is acceptable.

The best, fastest route I have always found to traffic for a new site or even a site where I was trying to ramp up traffic is as follows:

    1) Find some community sites or groups in your niche. Maybe a facebook group, maybe a forum like this one. Also Answer sites like Yahoo Answers is good.

    2) Find a few people that have a question that you can answer in a detailed high quality way.

    3) Creating a few quality resources, like maybe a how to blog post or video demonstrating how to do something very specific.

    4) Offer a link to the resource and briefly answer their question directly on the community site.

    5) Make sure your resource, (Post or Video) is optimized and has social like and share buttons with the bigs (facebook, google plus, twitter, Pinterest if you have compelling unique photos). Ask them to like your stuff or subscribe to your freebie or mailing list for more great stuff. Make a direct call to action on the post where the rules allow this or on the page where you have the video or post. Say "HEY YOU.... IF YOU FOUND THIS ANSWER USEFUL, AND WANT MORE USEFUL STUFF, SUBSCRIBE, LIKE ETC.". Don't sneak around the issue. I know alot of marketers recommend the subversive indirect approach, but I am a straight up guy and I find that for the most part if you ask people for something if you have done something for them already, they will have your back.

    6) Then whenever you have relevant content that gets republished on the site, send out a tweet, an email, whatever just letting people know that you have some new stuff to see that might interest them.

In a post penguin and Panda era the old trick the search engine stuff just does not get the same bang for the buck. With Google tracking chrome activity (now the most statistically used web browser) as it does, sites that are getting visits and social signals (Likes, shares etc) Can often outperform the most optimized and back-linked sites and get more free organic traffic. THE POWER IS IN THE PEOPLE, and if you provide stuff people like and maintain a good line of communication, people will come back to your site, share it with their friend, buy stuff you promote and generally make your life easier. Best of all, you won't have to worry so much about what Google or Yahoo, or Bing will do next... Book IT!

Oh and if you like the found this answer useful and want more useful answers give me a THANKS on the forum

SEO is a long term strategy, and in order for it to work, you need to focus on all the aspects you mentioned.

For faster results, you can try PPC or social traffic.

I have to agree that SEO is a long term solution for traffic. But if you are looking for short term or instant traffic, then social media is your bet.

In social media an image, video or quote can get viral without any reason (s). But the quality of the traffic which you will get through social media sites (facebook, pinterest, twitter) will not have the same high quality like which you would get from Google, Bing.
