Say I have a page: http://domain.com/xyz-mobile-phone-review/ and I want to rank it for both "xyz mobile phone" and "xyz mobile phone review"? So how should I go for it?

Ranking the later will be easier so can I use it for ranking both keywords or should I make two different pages? As it will save me time and also help me rank for both keywords.

I would make 1 page with over 1,000 words and target both keywords in the content.

The content I plan to make is well over 1500 words.

First of all, the length of the content really doesn't matter. You can get sites ranking well with 100-200 words. And you can get sites that don't rank at all with 2,000 words. I would worry less about the length of content and instead focus on the right content for the user experience, ensuring that you follow the basic on-page SEO guidelines.

You can probably rank for both of those words off of just one page. But depending upon your site, it might make sense to use a couple of pages to simply add a little depth to the content. Going back to my first point, it shouldn't be that much work to add a second page. You don't have to go crazy with the content. Just make it good and relevant.

make sure you keep on updating your site about 3-4 times a week atleast. Top Notch IM'ers always update their sites almost on a daily basis.

You could easily rank for both these keywords. Also I believe doing blog posting on relevant niche blogs is really good. I can help you with blog posting.
