hello awesome warriors.
I am working on an authority site with product reviews. I'm aiming at hundreds or even 1000+ reviews.

I want to monetize it with amazon affilate progrem.

now my question is - will it be OK for SEO to link allmost all the pages in my site to amazon? or will google consider my site as a bridge site and drop me in ranking?

the possibilities are:
* linking (monetize) all the pages with amazon aff links in the text
* making a "block" with amazon log, name, price, and a button, beneath every review.
* same as the "block option" but with more stores with other affiliate networks - target, wallmart etc'..
* links to amazon aff only on reviews whith traffic
* same as the first option, but adding a lot of "filler" non-review articles in that niche to balance with the review types.

What do you say? which option will you choose?
Please also let me know if you ever tried to rank large affiliate site like that, or saw an exaple for something like that.

thanks

Most of my own review sites are in excess of 100 product reviews. Every single review includes 2-3 affiliate links to Amazon. I haven't noticed any rankings issues. Just don't get carried away and send 10 links per page to Amazon with no content and you should be fine.

Just remember that your post timing and link insertion plays a big part in rankings too. I have seen people who have had about 200 product reviews prewritten and they bought a new domain with a new website and just dumped everything onto it from day 1 with affiliate links. They ranked ok within one month for a lot of pages but the second month saw only a few pages still indexed with google and all rankings lost. No artificial seo was taken place either.

When building an authority site, especially one with product reviews, my advice is to pace yourself and start out small, building up to an authority over time.

I also place a blog roll on my product review sites and post tons of unique related content with no affiliate links to add a bit more credibility. This tends to help my rankings dramatically.

      Thanks. Really good advice.
Me and my partner are working on a bigger project now, so this is more of a side project now.
We intent to put on about 2-3 articles per week. Both reviews and information articles in that niche. We will keep at that pace for about 6 months and than, when we'll have more time we will push it harder. We're aiming long term here.
