Do you mean you have two pages your trying to rank for the same keyword and the optimized one is not doing as good as the unoptimized one?

There are different reasons it could happen. How old is the site you are optimizing?

I would also recommend diversifying your incoming likes. You want to get many different links from many different sites, not just all social book marks. Write some Squidoo lenses, sign up for a couple wordpress blogs, submit articles to article sites. Those are all great ways to achive a natural linking pattern. It might just be me, but the way I look at it is if you have a bunch of links to your site all from social book marking sites and no other sites it would throw a red flag.

A GREAT way to get killer incoming links is to sign up for Angelas month link package in the WSO section. I just got it 2 weeks ago and it has already made a HUGE difference. It spiked a bunch of my rankings and got me some double listings for a few keywords. It's 5 bucks a month and worth every last penny.
