Google Adsense is alllot of Hoopla?

Hi!

I have added Google Adsense to all of my webpages, but the payout per click is always "Dog Cheap!"

I haven't even crossed the $50 mark yet...

I know allot of it has to do with my traffic.
The more traffic, the more pay.

But I don't want to be working for a Company that is paying me 1 cent and less per click!


Maybe it is because of my niche.
So I think the smart thing to do is, for this particular niche, I should use a different Ad Providing service.

Can anyone tell me some other good Adverising services, similar to Google Adsense, that won't pay me under $0.10 cents a click?

This is really frustraring me.

Please give me some good suggestions someone!

    It seems as though you need hundreds of sites to start earning any meaningful income, or thousands of page loads a day.

        it also depends on the type of ads that you have...for example on my blog i always have 1-2 ads that give me 1$-1.6$ per click because its something that alot of people are looking for. if you have your blog about something that isn't that common or something like that your ads value are lower

        Why don't you try promoting different adsense keywords and try getting traffic from places other than the search engines like the video sharing sites, myspace, social bookmarking sites, and so on.

        There are perhaps hundreds or even thousands of adsense keywords that pay $1 or more per click. Granted, you can't get much traffic from the SERP's because of the intense competition but you can sure as hell get the traffic from the places mentioned above.

        You can buy a list of the top paying adsense keywords for like $20 or $30.

    Hi EpsilonX5,

    One cent a click is way below what is typical on AdSense. If your earnings are this low, then it's likely that your niche and/or your traffic is a very poor choice for monetizing.

    I would suggest reevaluating your content and your traffic sources before looking to other ad networks. You may need to tweak a few things before you can expect to make good money from any kind of ads.

      So is seems than most of you suggest that I stick with google right?
      It is the best Ad provider?

      TOPGUN08 also suggested Affiliate Marketing, that sounds like a decent idea.

      Maybe I can do a mix.


      Ok, this is what my current site is about.

      I have a hi5 resource site right now. I made it for fun also, I just have the Forums running right now, not the real site.
      (hi5 is a Social Network like Myspace for those who didn't know)

      I guess hi5 is a very low keyword...


      As Zachary R. Skinner mentioned, I truly do get most of my traffic from other sources than search engines.
      I get most of it dirctly from hi5.


      I'm really planning on making numerous sites.
      I was planning on making a Health and Fitness site next, because I really like that topic.

      Does that sound like a profitable niche? or maybe it's over populated already...


      I found some lists of high paying Keywords around.

      They had stuff like "boston dui lawyer", "mesothelioma attorneys san diego" and allot of keywords paying ridiculous amounts of money.

      I was thinking, that maybe most of these niches are over populated.
      But I guess I'll try to research and work on one of these keywords.



      This is a plan I had. Maybe it may be helpfull to some of you also.

      I'm already signed up with Commision Junction, and Click Bank.
      Maybe, instead of placing google ads on my pages,
      I can advertise my own product pages on my hi5 site.

      Those users fall within the Teen age bracket.
      Maybe I can promote Clothing, phones, electronics, etc..

      And also rotate my links.

      Does that sound like a decent idea?

      But then, I'm also worried that such a young audience may not be the quickest to buy online, since they won't actually own credit cards.

      I guess I'll think of something!

          Adsense payouts depends on a lot more than traffic, or less on traffic than one thinks.

          Factors influencing payouts:
          • where your traffic comes from. If you get more South African traffic (in my case) than, in US traffic you will earn a lot less per click as SA Adwords are a lot cheaper
          • the niche market you're in. Adwords in some niches are cheaper than others.
          • the type of visitors. Does your niche cater to browsers or buyers? Buyers will more likely click on adverts as apposed to browsers. One of my high traffic sites has a CTR of only 0.2% because of the people coming there are looking for information rather than to buy something.
          • the quality of your content. The better the quality of your content the lower your CTR as people tend to browse and read the content rather than click away
          • the type of site. My directories generally have a good CTR because people coming their are looking for sites/products/services and would click on adverts as opposed to info sites that people browse.
          • The amount of information on your site. The more information your site has the lower the CTR tends to be as people browse the site and probably find what they sre looking for.
          I try and build at least three income streams into a site so as not to depend on Adsense or affiliate programs or sales

            The type of traffic you need to make google happy and fatten your wallet is crazy.
            You need at least 100k UVs a month.

            With 100k targeted UVs a month I can have a affiliate website or my own product website making $10k+ a month.

            I dont need adsense at all.

            This is a big one. If your page is about a product or service then you can expect
            a 40 - 50% (or higher) CTR.

            I tend to stray off this path with my keywords but non-converting traffic always
            reminds me of it...

      adsense is not hard or hoopla. You just have to market to the high paying niches. I have a few sites that make $5 per day from under 10 visitors. It does take more time to get to a high payout level but if approached the right way it can be a big easy money maker. Niches with big corporate advertisers generally do well. Think countrywide, general motors, dell etc

    Having success with adsense has a lot to do with the look and placement of your ads.Choosing the right niche is also important, and building the traffic to your site.Some niches have huge competition and this raises the cost per click as well.You can get paid over $50 for one click in some niches.

    The $ you get paid for your traffic depends on the keywords that generates the traffic - that is based on the nature of your site and if you are promoting the same material as zillions of others - such as with sex sites or money making sites then the value of each click is as low as they can get - like maybe 1 cent per click.
