Google Pagerank update happened today !

You are 100% correct. I just checked my PR and it climbed 1 digit today. Even though pr will not make me rank higher, it makes me happy because my pr is now higher than both my #1 and #2 competitors. Now its just a matter of getting more backlinks/content then them.

RedShifted, same thing is with my website also. Now my effort is awarded, and now I just need to slowly build up my links and content, adn I hope I will be in page one for a several targeted keywords. Btw. I choose very good niche, and adsense CPCs in this niche are pretty high.

One of my websites camaro car place is still at the same PR, but i did a lot of link building and definitely it should go at least +1, but no changes at all yet...

  Good for you all! I know that although people (Mr Cutts included) tend to say PR doesn't really matter much, it still feels nice to get this sort of badge of approval and see all the hard work rewarded.

Across 25 or so sites, I have seen both up and down. But to be honest, it really doesn't matter. I mean, ranking in the serps is what counts. Lower pr sites out rank higher pr ones in the serps all the time. I think Google should completely get rid of this useless metric.

I can agree with you. In my opinion, Alexa number is the same useless piece of sh..t . But I am still happy for this PR update

i got mine too, but im whatever, i worked hard on site and many quality backlinks...i got PR0 to PR1 today...thought i was going to get PR2 at least...
