Warriors, I'm using Adwords for content on a new campaign with over 30-40 URL's I want my ad to show up on.

Should I use the PPC choice or CPM choice? What works best in your opinion?

Thanks!

both ) ... you should start with PPC .. get a feeling of the websites .. optimize your ad

Once you have top performing ads .. and top performing websites .. you know what's your average CPM. So you build a specific campaign to target just those websites on CPM basis.

You can pay less money per click on CPM basis, but you need to start with CPC to have enough data to make a decision

I agree with the comment and want to add one important ingredient.

In content network targeting both CPC and CPM works well.

So, to identify the best that fits to you - just test them.

    One more question...

Do you think it is best in the content network to just pick sites to post your ad on versus just using a keyword targeted approach? The reason I ask is because if you use keyword only, you have NO idea where the sale comes from (what site or sites)...no tracking. But you do it by site, you know which ones work and which ones don't.

    Thoughts on that?

I recommend adsense digger .. free software to locate where to place the ads.

You can use keyword approach as well .. or both and choose a style that fits your needs best. However you can track where the sale comes from

If you have setup a google tracking pixel, all you have to do is go to the reports, generate a report and you will see a list of websites where your ad has appeared along with conversions.

If you are unable to place a google tracking pixel (although I highly recommend you do use a google tracking pixel) you can use a system that will analyze the website refferer and assign it a unique tracking id that you will pass along.

You can use whatever approach you'd like .. you can still do tracking
