Product in folder or root...?

I have a product and the name has zero keywords.
It's actually a made up word.

Should I redirect the root/home to a folder with
keywords? Like:

product.com -> product.com/keyword1-keyword2/

Or put a sales page on both?

Or... ?

Seo has never been my forte.

  • Will the site have anything else on it other than your product? Will the product be just one page of sales stuff or are you planning on doing anything else? It all depends on you future plans.

    Nothing else on the site. Just one page. That's why I was considering
    putting it in a folder and 301 the root.
