Rankings lost

Hi!
I have an urgent question. I just changed 2 perma-links of my site, but re-named them after 5 minuts...but now almost all the rankings are lost or google just finds some different hits?anyone can help?best regards

    So you changed links and within 5 minutes you switched them back? Unless you're running a huge site or pingd Google, I doubt they even noticed that.

    I don't think this is the reason for your lost rankings. Changing the permalinks for just 5 minutes won't affect this.

      Problem is the following: When I am searching for one of my keywords google is showing me xxxx.com/?page_id=40 instead of xxx.com/keyword or word. That happened 2 days ago and my ranking decreased a LOT. Checked my permalinks, it's working fine, "Post name - xxx.com/sample-post/"

    Probably you, or someone else who linked to your website used the "shortlink" version of url from wordpress.

    It is not the first time when I see this happens. Wordpress users are using the "get shortlink" button on the edit post page and they share it. If google crawls that url instead of the permalink url then it will consider duplicate content. This may not be the reason for your fall, but you should use only the normal url. Use some seo plugin that will use canonical tag to let google that they are the same page.

    Start building niche related backlinks, and also try to get links from high authority sites like squidoo, etc.

      I agree with them.. 5 minutes are not an issue to lost your ranking. Maybe your onpage optimization is the issue.
