Little background: My website was created to share my photographs and some history facts about my Neighborhood. Since it is such a small "niche" I expanded information of my site to include some data from the whole city that relate in some way to my neighborhood.
So, with the limited keywords availability how do you expand the website, so those limited keywords puts you in a first place, and get additional and relevant traffic, without going over the border of the hood. How do you "create" those additional keywords?
Thanks,

In your case, as you are doing local, you can create keywords blending your niche keyword plus specific activities.

    For example:
    Fishtown parks
    Fishtown attorneys
    Fishtown schools
    Fishtown clubs

you can make one article per place/activity. Some will be reference, some you can charge advertising on.

I use google's keyword tool for this, let them give you similar terms

market samurai is also really good for this, you can click on more and more terms, create new tabs, and do more keyword generation based on each sub keyword.

also, good ole wordtracker can create a lot of keyword lists full of keyphrases you never thought of, and related too!
