Adsense + Tumblr

You can insert your Adsense pub (ID) into your Tumblr blog.

Go to www (dot) tumblr (dot) com/customize/xxxxx then click "Edit HTML" - you insert your Adsense pub into it.

But, I don't know.. I mean, tumblr is basically a picture-blog, some of those pictures are half-nude as well. I think adsense don't like such things.

I mean, you don't have to post up only pictures, or nude pictures or whatever. It's up to you what you really wanna post.

Let's say a bunch of these people on Tumblr love food. So I can start a food niche. Post a buncha pics of food, have some content about how to make this and that. Etc etc. And then you have your adsense ads up.

You're killing two birds in one stone? You have your returning followers cause there's a huge following in Tumblr, and then the search engines. I don't know. Just a thought.

Didn't have much success with Tumblr (for Adsense)> Yeah, it is good for SEO as tumblr is one of the top 5 web2.0 sites, but people won't click on your adsense clicks, because they are looking for pictures (as online only said!)

I haven't tried tumbler but I do have a blogspot that's mostly images (my own images) that does good with Adsense. People will click Ads on image type pages. The Ads have to be targeted to the traffic.

If you only post original content on Tumblr, then you can perhaps use AdSense on it. However, if you re-pin a lot of stuff, then definitely don't put AdSense on there. A lot of young adults use Tumblr. It is quite popular.

I've been using Adsense + Tumblr for the two months. It's pretty easy to get a decent sized following if you pick the right niche and utilize the "tag" feature of tumblr correctly.

As for adsense, it's pretty low everything, CTR is less than 1%, CPM is less than $1.00. Although this is just from my experience with one theme and a couple ad placements. You definitely need some crazy traffic if you want to make some real $$$ but it is achievable if you are dedicated!

CTR maybe less than 1% but hey, crazy traffic it is!

Has any implemented affiliate links? Maybe from Amazon or some other company?

That's true, traffic can be very friendly

I have personally tried to stay away from affiliate stuff because tumblr doesn't like it very much and you run the risk of getting banned.

I've heard of some people using Mylikes which is a social media PPC company but I haven't got around to testing them out. If anyone has experciene with them on Tumblr please share!!!

Mylikes I noticed does work well with Tumblr.

Tumblr is pretty awesome. I have been using it for some time with excellent results. I have been so impressed that I am launching a new Tumblr training course soon...
