I bought a an expired domain on Godaddy Auctions yesterday, but decided that I don't want it anymore. What Can I do here? Will I feel the wrath of Godaddy if I don't pay for it? I was the only bidder, so it's not like I stopped someone else from obtaining it.

After a few days of not paying for it, Godaddy will automatically charge your account through whatever payment method you have on file with them.

For other options, I would call GoDaddy directly and discuss it with them.

It seems you can not do anything more and the best thing is thinking about selling it after your account changed. Maybe you find some webmasters that like that domain name and want to buy it from you.

I'm pretty sure when you bid, you're contractually committing to buy. How much did you spend on it?

Only $12, so not a big deal at all. Still, that's 2-3 months hosting right there. Might as well contact Godaddy, although I'm confident that it won't lead to anything good.

Yeah right! have you ever seriously dealt with Godaddy?

Live with it, move on, let it expire or try and sell it on Sedo or just learn from it.
Don't buy today what you can't use tomorrow.

Yes. For over a decade. Never once have I had a problem that they couldn't resolve within minutes. I can count on one hand the TOTAL number of problems I've had in 10 years with them and over 500 domains.

    I see three options.

Option #1: Call Godaddy and complain.
    Option #2: Sell it.
    Option #3: Just use it.

Personally, I'd go with option #3. I don't know your personal situation, but you can probably still make use of it.

Yea, you're better off just keeping it. It's unfortunate but I guess you can see it as a
$12 lesson and who knows, the domain might end up being of use.

There are a lot of buyers available for domain names. You never know, you may get $50 selling it.

It might be a blessing in disguise. If Godaddy say you have to keep it( and I think they will) either keep it as is or put some content on there and wither way if you really don't want it sell it.

I would suggest you to sell it on Warrior forum or DigitalPoint. There are a lot of people available to digitalpoint who buys expired domains.
