    Use this site: myguestblog.com

    Or try this on Google.

    “Your niche” + “guest post”
“Your niche” + “write for us”
    “Your niche” + “submit post”

are you just being anal about it or do you actual;ly believe that rel=NoFollow passes link juice?

I think what he means is that there is no markup for rel=DoFollow

He may also be a pedant, so to go one up on pedantry, I'll say that the nature of the English language is that it is constantly acquiring new words by taking them from other languages and jargon - so it's completely valid to use the word in English.

In fact it's usage is so prominent here, that I'd say it would be a candidate for dictionary inclusion.

Sounds like he is being anal. But I digress, it is good to have nofollow backlinks in your portfolio as well. Nothing wrong with mixing up nofollow along with dofollow.

That would actually make your links appear to be a lot more natural. I've also found my sites are jumping in rankings when I have more lower PR links pointing at them with a few more 'powerful' higher PR root domains. I find a ratio of 3:1 - 5:1 (low to high) helps a ton. It'd make a hell of a lot more sense to an algorithm that 'smaller' sites are going to like you and mention you before the higher end sites do.

I like to see how the root domain would pass its 'juice' and if it's a lower PR site I check the Alexa. I'd rather get residual traffic that may end up buying, I have yet to see a commission from something Bing or Google bought from me =-( Guess the search engines are too cheap to buy stuff.

Most sites do not allow dofollows links and even if they do, they will only keep it for sometimes then after a few months, they make it nofollow. I think if you are planning to do guest blogging, do it to increase your site visitors but not for dofollow links.

I wouldn't worry as much about PR as much as just getting content exposure and good links.

I think here is NOT a very good idea to find webmasters. The best way is to use Google and find relevant blogs, then send an email to EVERY webmaster and kindly ask him to post your guest article. Yeah, almost 90% of them won't do it, but any webmaster that agrees will "call" you back soon for more "FREE CONTENT" for his website!

No real, good, decent, authoritative, high PR blog is ever going
to let Joe Shmo guest blog. I would never in a million years
allow a guest post on any of my blogs, unless that person
was Matt Cutts, Justin Bieber, Lebron James,...

And if you value your blog, you won't do it either.

Not to mention that there's no such thing as dofollow anyway...
(sorry, I just can't help but get that in every time.)

If you want to find guess blogging sites, try "my guess blog" - this is a free site or "Guest blogger"+"your keyword."

Don't worry so much about getting a DoFollow link. Sure, it'd be great, but the real power is that the blog's readers will visit your website. If you guest post on an authority website, then you can gain thousands of new visitors from the post itself.

The NoFollow link may not do much for you when it comes to search engine traffic, but you should try diversifying your traffic for the best results.

I own a site that has massive traffic and i get emails every day from people offering me free content in exchange for a link or 3. Here is why i ignore 99.9% of them.

    1. They send a generic email that has my website name put in a placeholder. So they can't be arsed to even write personally and use something automated instead!
    2. Then they tell me they will give me free content. Wow, i have around 6-10 high quality posts written daily, i think i can do without a badly written link infested posts thanks. And trying to make me feel lucky that uit's free just makes me hit delete quicker.
    3. I have not spent all this time building my audience to let someone link to a site that i don't know/trust. It's not worth it. Unless i know you or your site you are going to struggle.

    Suggestions for getting accepted.
    1. Show that you have an existing quality site in a similar niche with well written articles.
    2. Only include a single backlink that IS NOT a keyword phrase. Just link to the name of your site or the www address.
    3. Attach the article at the same time of asking. I would always have a read and that may get your article posted.

As a final point. I think anyone with a high ranking authority website wants to look after it. They would NEVER accept some low quality guest post from a nobody linking to a site we don't know/trust. The world has moved on, and so should your expectations of getting an easy link.

It takes a great deal of pitching- If you develop a decent pitch and gain experience you can get on a great deal of high quality sites. I have been published on over 80 different sites already with dofollow links. It just takes a lot of effort.
