What's with this Adwords warning?

I've set up the adwords campaign and in the campaigns page it says "Your account isn't active because you haven't entered your billing information." even though I just added in my billing information just now.
Do I have to go to 'Billing' => 'Billing Preferences' and then click on 'Make a payment?' in order to completely sync my credit card with the adwords account? Or is that warning of not entered my billing information standard? because at the 'Billing' => 'Billing Preferences' page it no longer asks me to enter my billing information.
Or is this just a time lapse before this message disappears?
