Finding information on relevant SEO? Algorithm Change?

I am trying to track down some info. And yes, I did use the search function here I was not able to find anything of value.

I understand that google had a bit of an algorithm change recently but I am wondering how that affects SEO technique? Does anyone have any advice as to where I can look for the info?

Wait, was there even an algorithm change? I actually can't confirm and I don't want to start any rumors! lol

They make changes to algos all the time... Not sure which one you're asking about but SEO techniques will remain the same unless there was a particular link building technique that is no longer effective any more.

SEOMOZ.com is a good place to stay on top of this kinda stuff.
