I've been trying to keep up with what's working and what I'm reading.
Do press releases and article submissions to sites like Ezine articles still carry weight in 2013 ??? Or are they a thing of the past.

I just bought Scrapebox ... Trying to find niche relevant sites to leave high quality comments NOT spam. Ill be doing it all manually. Should I continue with DOFOLLOW blog comments or focus more on Guest Blogging.

My niche is weddings and wedding venues.

I'm kinda new at all this and any input would be Greatly Appreciated.

I've heard everything from relevant sites ARE NOT IMPORTANT, even if they are niche specific to "it doesn't matter where the links are coming from.

UGHHH. who do I trust ??? Lol

For diversity you've to focus on multiple things like article marketing, web2.0, blogs, social bookmarking etc..

Where you've heard this bold claim? Relevancy works better than any irrelevant technique even if it is backlink.

Yes both article marketing and press releases are excellent. You need all the back links you can get. If you write a press release correctly, you will find lots of people reading them. You can do free and paid press releases.

Hey Sue, after reading Matt Cutts newest blog post I took it that press releases weren't going to have as big impact as they were let's say as guest blogging.

I just don't want to spend a arm and leg on article submission and comments without the benefits to my money site. Everything I'm reading is leaning towards a whole range of back links as well as blog posts, unique content,
And social signals, and networking in my niche Albany Plantation is my site and I rent out our wedding and events venue.
