Dear Warrior,

Many offer SEO Service, in Warrior Forum itself, and outside. And the price is high / expensive. Anyone ever use this kind of service? I want to know, is worth to invest amount of money in this SEO Service?

thanks in advance

  • Gebyarandyono,

Whether or not it will be worth it to you is sort of subjective. I know of many people who have found value in outsourcing SEO to an agency or freelancer because their opportunity costs are high and/or they do not know how to do the work themselves.

I think for it to be worth it to you, you should ask companies you are thinking of going with about what potential for ROI there will be as a result of working with them. For instance if they want to charge you 1000 dollars a month for five months, what will that get you and will it pay for itself and then some? Say for example one new customer to you is worth 500 dollars. If paying this SEO firm to do the work will result in 3 new customers per month as a result of their work, then perhaps its worth spending the money.

The key here is to really take a look at the value a third party can provide in comparison to what you would do if you didn’t have that resource. Also, you should do your homework. Don’t just go with the first person or someone who has a flashy website. Ask for referrals, as to see a portfolio, talk to other businesses who have had success with an agency or freelancer, then make your decision.

And once you learned about off page optimization you will know that you have to avoid people who sell forum profile links and "edu" blog comments in their signature link.

Rather, they should form part of a site's backlink profile.
Go teach that to some noobs, don't waste your time on me.

I get dozens enquiries a week from people with spammed back link profiles after they used a service like yours.

And no, there is completely nothing natural about having 250 forum profile links or 200 wiki links at heavily spammed platforms, not to mention the edu blog comments. Now if this were 50 edu in context links inside real articles written by real professors and students then it would be a different case of course, but you're just selling pure spam and then telling people they have to learn SEO first.

When will you start with that? lol

ps: All your $14 services are 1 on 1 equal to what they offer at http://Fiverr.com for $5,-

Heck, why I even start about this, then I can keep on discussing with the 100 other fiverr resellers at this forum as well.

If you don't know SEO, your guaranteed to get burnt sooner or later (probably sooner) when outsourcing.

Agreed. You have to learn basic SEO before outsourcing. It's important to know what you are getting and how it could impact your website.

SEO will be worth exactly the moment when you will realize you need it. If in doubt most probably is not worthy because you don't have the knowledge or experience to correctly evaluate a SEO service and you may get burned.

I would suggest you to go for a freelancer. Also try to check the projects they have worked on before.

There are some great SEO services out there, even here at warrior forum you can find some gems. But it takes time and money to test different services, it took me more than a year and thousands $ spent to find guys that deliver results.

There is a really good SEO guy called "Sage Rock", they are out of NY I think. They charge $400 per hour, but they really know their stuff. They only deal in large companies with money for obvious reasons.

Finding SEO guys isn't cheap or easy. It is best to learn basic SEO and outsource. You'll sleep better at night knowing your plan of action and what is actually being done to your website. I would be nervous about having strangers with no credentials touching my money site!

Its a tough question. I think it really depends on how much you know/how experienced you are.

A company we've been using for about 4 months now got one of our sites on page 1 in the top 3 for 7 different competitive, but low search keywords. Googles keyword tool estimated searches between 150-600 searches a month. But these are high end jobs that sell for a lot.

Then we ranked, and realized that googles keyword tool must really be terrible, because we only get about 40-50 unique visitors a month between 7 kewords in the top 3. Which converts to maybe 4-5 emails/calls. For some reason I was expecting around 300-500 visitors a month (minimum). =]

So we sell about 1-2 jobs a month. The ROI is a 200-300% return on what the SEO costs, but its just nowhere near what we were expecting.

So now I've learned in the niches we're targeting, we have to target/rank for about 50-100 different keywords to get any decent amount of traffic. The company we're using still has a lot of work left to improve our ranks for our other keywords. So I'll be targeting all the long tail keywords on my own. I'm hoping that these pages may rank quicker now, since our main domain has built up a lot of authority.

So in the end, it was definitely worth it. But I had a newbie mindset in terms of ranking. I actually believed that ranking for 5-10 keywords would provide us a massive ROI, which it didn't. However, I still like SEO better than PPC, and the last few PPC companies we used all sucked. And we lost a lot of money going that route. So SEO has definitely proven more useful in that respect. There's just A LOT left to learn to really profit off it the way I want to.
