Google Adwords just impressed me...

Anyone tried getting support from Google Adwords recently??

I remember a few years ago when I used adwords a lot over multiple client accounts & my own account, they could be a real pain to get support from. I had a problem with my account today so I just called them, was on the phone to a human within maybe 5-10 second, really friendly guy, who sorted my problem for me in seconds. Very impressed!!

Hope this wasn't just a fluke! ;-)

    What kind of site was it for if you don't mind. Your's or a clients? Are you some sort of ad house with them? Was it an ecommerce site?

      It was an old account of mine that Google suspended ages ago because I used it for a domain which involved the word "Make money" - ooooh they didn't like that!! They didn't even warn me, just suspended the account instantly. It was a website with various info about making extra money, and a name squeeze. There was an income statement on there etc so it was all completely above board.

      I didn't cry about it though as I had another account (which they know about as I access the old account via my newer account). But I remembered recently that this old account has funds in it, so I wanted the funds refunding to me. I called them expecting them to try to keep hold of the funds - they didn't, they were actually very nice & sorted it out for me very quickly.

      No I'm not ad ad house - I spoke about client accounts etc as I've managed adwords accounts for clients.

    That is interesting, I have never had a positive experience with Adwords. It feels as if they are only in business for data collection, and not to actually provide service to its customers.

      Well I must say I don't ever recall having any kind of transaction with adwords in the past which I came away from impressed, so this is a first. Seemed like they were going out of their way to impress, even when it came to how quickly the call was answered.

    Adwords customer service is better than most CPC networks, but it seems their CPC is so high - Are you getting a decent ROI? I used them 4 years ago, but don't really remember.

      I've not done much adwords for a while, mainly because as you said the cost is usually too high, but I have a client selling products with a very high ticket & bdecent profit margins in a not too competitive niche, so the numbers should work for this one.

    Majority of the issues they solve via phone, if not they'll inform you through email. Adwords runs an excellent community forums with lots of experts. One can search here before contacting telephone support!

    This really seems to be very cooperative from them. I have never used adwords before because of its expensiveness but now I think that I must go for it.
