Best place for adsense ads on WP blog for 2013

I have read that for SEO ranking Google does not now like blogs with Adsense ads above the fold.

I was thinking of changing mine (on my health niche blog) from the top right of my post and have one ad in the middle of the post but in two places.

I have also read that readers find it very annoying to have ads in the middle of the text.

Has anyone got any advice or tested this?

Google has never said any such thing. Ads above the fold are
perfect. Same place as 2012. Has nothing to do with
blogs anyway. A blog page is the same as any other webpage.

Wrapping text around an ad is better than a split.

But be sure and keep an ad above the fold, front and center!
I always have 2, actually.
