Here's a clever tactic (not my site & nothing to do with me) ...

Mark Zuckerberg - 12 People You Did Not Expect to See on Twitter

People know it is a list of 12, but there's only one person showing, so they will be looking for the 'Next' button right?

Can you see how clever this is?

I see the next button. You don't see it?

You understand this is about Adsense ... right?

Come on, think again - have another look.

Yes but instead of putting #12 in front of his name it would be more logical to put #1 or another number, otherwise you need a Previous button instead of next.

But I get your point indeed, I would just put the Next button in a more subtle color as it now kind of dominates the page and you can easily over look the Adsense ad that way. I had to look twice, so I would have never clicked the ad.

Actually, I think beginning with #12 is also quite cunning. It reminds people that they are looking at a list. But I do understand your point.

I always hate these types of tactics and I do believe these are one kind of cheating! The title looks funny and subject is already attractive. There are tons of legitimate methods which can be used to attract tons of curious traffic easily. no need to do black hat tricks when plenty of white hat options are available.

However these are not new. I saw hundreds of pages like this before. There was a site which was offering free ebooks download option on different catagories where download links were AS ads

I think that will get you banned ASAP during a manual review, it's obviously tricking traffic into clicking the Adsense Ads.

OP, why the tracking code on the URL/link in OP?

I agree with this actually thinking about it. It is obviously meant to catch people out and will probably annoy some.

      Hi Yukon

Hadn't noticed it. Just copied the url after following a link from another site - nothing to do with me.

I see lots of people here follow double standard! Will and eulogists of the cheater may want to see their money is safe in their digital wallets but these people don't hesitate to hijack money from AS providers using fraud tactics! Shame on you!

That's why a lot of people fail at Adsense, they don't understand they're supposed to be helping the Adwords guys increase targeted traffic, not unnecessary Adsense clicks like the trick in OP.

I stopped caring If anyone gets banned from Adsense, most people here on Warrior Forum just don't give a crap about keeping their Adsense account from getting banned. They say they care but that's a crock of $hit from looking at all the silly tricks they try to get away with (ex: multiple Adsense accounts, fake navigation, images that are borderline porn, etc...).

I agree. It should be a win win game. Here on WF I see people dont care about White Hat Black Hat. They just want money. Money is not everything. You should practice white hat methods as much as possible for establishing a better virtual world of business, for your INNER PEACE too.

Excuse me, but this site has nothing to do with me. I am posting here in a forum about Adsense because I happened to spot an interesting tactic - that does not mean I approve - nothing more.

No problem Will. I know its not your page. I think you can contribute here by posting WH methods that might be helpful for lots of newbies who are just starting. Nobody wants to go wrong until there are lots of legitimate ways of generating earnings.
