Are Adsense Ads Top Right Okay? Or Does it Trigger Panda Issues

I'm an Adsense greenhorn. Started a site using Adsense to give it a try. Right now I have 300 x 300 ad blocks at top right of posts (the title is above the ad and text wraps to the left).

Question: Is this bad ad placement due to Panda? Should I lower the add below-the-fold?

    The problem isn't having Ads above the fold. The problem is not having content above the fold (not the same things).

    You can have both Ads + content above the fold.

    You can have only content above the fold.

    Thanks Yukon. I have content above the fold with the ad. I just want to make sure I get started with the site on the right foot. Traffic is starting to roll in.

      That's fine.

      My advice is keep the Ads spread out on the page.

      On my own sites, my top/center Ad gets the largest amount of CTR/earnings. Test your own site for best Ad positions.
