PR 6 aged domain with low quality back links

Imo better you can buy a PR4/PR5 dmoz listed domain and then easily you can make it to pr6. So, you can save some money.

If you are going to spend $500 on any domains, you need to use something better than MS to analyze them. MS is a waste of time if you are trying to analyze domains.

what are you using to check the backlinks i want to leanr how to anyilize an adged domain myself... what tools are you using besided MS to check backlinkes and other things?

I would probably pay something like $400-500 for such domain, I do not expect it to keep it's PR though, probably ends up as PR5 and with a little bad luck as PR4 but then it would still be a pretty strong PR4. Haven't checked the links properly but saw that it had a decent PR5, looked like many OBL but most lead back to the same site that is being sold.

For the rest I just checked the stats like DA/PA/CT/TF and that compares to a very strong PR4 or a pretty decent PR5 so yeah I am sure there will be buyers that take it for 500 bucks.

I did log into Ahrefs and it has some nice links, but I only checked the first 5-6 links. 1 homepage PR5 link where most of the OBL go to the site in question, few PR4's, PR3, RP2. I haven't exported the data though, but when I compare Majestic and OSE stats it looks like it would be a decent PR4 or PR5, thus worth around $400-500, and that's why I said I would be prepared to pay that, I would not pay anything more though.

Strong PR4 within 60-120 days. No way based on those links would I spend $500. Still based on the action on that auction I would have to look closer to see if there is more to it than the links I am seeing.

Yeah, the domain is nice and all but you could spend your $500+ much more effectively by buying 10 lesser domains for example or even more.

Purchase that.. Age domain can be easily rank with the right backlink strategies and Nico is right if it will drop in backlinks it go down to N/A at least max drop to PR4, It's still sweet rank considering that you are going to trouble yourself trying to gain a good PR. The remaining problem will be just how to rank it for your respective keywords of that site.

Then you can start making new fresh sites link and link them that high PR site you bought to gain faster PageRanks.

Well this is just some advice, it will still matter with your decisions.

I think it can't be aged domain if it was a dropped domain some time....

Well, I have seen page rank stays if you make activity on the domain..

You can create a directory on pr6 and sell spaces, links as well, this would also give you huge earning.

We do have seo spyglass nik and i think its a strong PR4 if not PR5. people would invest 400-500 dollars for it without hesitation but looks like there's gonna be a bidding war. this morning it was $500 now its $555 and with more than 2 days of bidding time left and as Mike said i do expect a bit of crazy bidding in closing minutes, so i wouldnt be surprised if it sells for 1000 bucks or even more. especially considering its godaddy auction lol. been monitoring few auctions at godaddy lately and i can tell that godaddy isnt the best place to buy high pr domains.

Awful for anything above PR4 but I will say nothing more - let the masses keep running to godaddy. I always laughed when people told me how expensive my course was and then bought something that showed them only how to shop at godaddy. they ended up spending several times more than I charged just buying two domains.

Well, purchesing a domain that is PR5-6-7, DMOZ and Yahoo listed is waist of money because:

1. That back-links that sustain his PR was put there when site was live for a reason ... for information that site offer. If you buy the domain and put other information that was before you will be Penguin subject.

2. In DMOZ is listed with some description, if you edit your site will be subject to editor reconsideration.

3. Yahoo Directory is a pay one so basically anyone can be listed there.

If you still wanna buy, buy domains that have back-links related to some niche and put content in that niche.

Sometimes, if a domain has been for sale for a while, it's PageRank will exist ONLY because of the high PR links from "domain for sale" sites - which disappear as soon as it's sold.

Check the history and the backlinks of the domain you want to purchase, if backlinks are not strong than pr will be dropped in next update.

Several months ago on GD...

A three-word, PR5, non-distinctive dot-com domain with only one word that could remotely be considered a keyword, and a link profile that was nothing spectactular = 137 bids, final price: $12,055.

There was no company name, trademark, servicemark or "Intent to Use" filing that was even remotely connected with that domain name.

OMG, I think I'll start offering domains for sale at GoDaddy if this is all true, are they freaking out of their mind.

Anyway, about the price difference, when you add up costs of content that is needed for multiple PR4 or PR3 domains then within months the extra money is made back already.

It's a total scam on GD's part. They had nothing to do with creating the value of the domains and they make ridiculous cash from them.

the winner of this bid once made a bid of $1,020 to beat $1,015. and then he raised it to $1200 when there's been no bid from others. tells you about the people that go to godaddy auction lol.
