www version runs OK where as Withou WWW gives 404 ?

Hey guys i am confused about this two versions of URL. one is running fine where as other gives 404.

Can anyone explain me logic behind this?

    Those are 2 completely different URLs.

    If your site is not set to redirect one to the other you will get that error.

    It doesn't matter which one you choose as long as you redirect the other one to it.

    Usually done using .htaccess file but if you're using a content management system/blog then it may have a setting where you can select this.

    looks like that website is on a windows server. confirm this with your client or with their webhost and if it is, just search for "iis domain canonical" or "iis redirect to www"

    If you are using wordpress just go to the general settings and change the redirection.
