VPS = Virtual Private Servers (Amazon, Rackspace Cloud, etc.). You can get multiple IP addresses allocated to your server from different address blocks so without running a proper trace they appear to be unrelated/different subnets.

Unless you're starting a web hosting company, you don't need to worry about the complexities. Its really only a selling point for black hat... I would personally be cautious working with any host that advertises vps and seo together. If just ONE of their customers does something ban-worthy, THEIR upstream may kill their account and you'll have to find a new host.

you are right, but if you get dadicated IP address for your website with VPS then you can get ranking easily, dadicated IP Boast your website ranking into Google.
I am running my own big network on VPS that's why i know it.

VPS are virtual private system or servers which are fast then our own system you can allocate many ips there and also use for SEO purposes.

VPS can be used for more than just hosting. You can also use it as a virtual desktop. That is what s/he is talking about.

Lots of people use them to keep backlinking or scraping tools running 24/7 without having to keep their home computer on all night.

i'll give a serious answer.
why use a vps for automated tools:
sometimes tools require lots of bandwidth, if you did that on your home pc you wouldn't even be able to watch utube, your teenage daughter would complain.
also it's usually several 100's of times faster having a 100mb or gigabit connection
some ppl don't want to leave their pc's on all day.

even if you have a nice quad/8core computer with 16gigs of ram, tools will, overtime take up resources and if you just leave it running for a day, you might not even be able to "work" at a decent rate.

even if you think you're "safe" using a vps for tools, you should use proxies, otherwise most vps' will suspend your account once they get too many notices from stopforumspam or whatever annoying places.

course i have no idea why ctrtheme is asking so many weird questions, but just dropping some answers so other passerbys have them answered.

If you are only interested in a VPS to spam backlinks, you are already in the wrong mindset.

However, a VPS is great because it will free up both your system resources and bandwidth for about $10-$20 a month.

I find it hard to believe you've beeen doing SEO for 4 years and still ask these types of questions.

Anyway, if you need a reliable service then I recommend wooservers. They can even preinstall scrapebox for you. I have the Galaxy Note 2 and I can connect and work from my phone!
