here's a quick tip...

put up a free blog on blogger or somewhere else.

Title the blog a longtail keyword - something that a buyer would type into google.

On the blog, put up about 10 posts over 5 days that have variations of the longtail keyword. Every post should have a link back to your website.

If there is not too much competition for the keyword, you'll start getting more traffic within 24 to 48 hours. The new blog should be on the first page of the Big G.

Do this over and over for different longtail keywords and it will add up.

It's not necessary that your site gets to page one - just the traffic funnels like the blogs.

You are not working your site to be found using the words in your domain.
Your site promotes e books, not digital books.
For your domain, I get #1 on yahoo.
Google puts it on page 2. Problem is, google likes to
split words up when you do a search. I know you
are not going for a domain search, but the words.
I just did that for reference.

Optimize for digital books store, and that may help.
Unless, optimizing for e books is better!

  well i know this is aksing for a lot but its called digitalbooksstore but it sells ebooks cant i have it when i search ebooks that my website comes up or should i change the domain name because than all the links i have in blogs and articles will be a waste wont they?

I'll be honest.

Would you really spend $9.99 on your recommendation? Ebooks Store : Article Writing Secrets

The sales page for the recommended product is only one sentence. I've sold eBooks in 2006 (my own and made some money from eBay before the stopped digital products).

That sort of default script you have won't sell anything. Like I said and this isn't being negative. Will one sentence make you spend $9.99?

  But, yes, the SE will make suggestions, so not really a factor.
  You may want to purposely misspell it in your keywords, but
  I digress...
  
  I have done many searches for e books, but never for
  digital books. I could be alone, but I think people looking
  for e books would search for e-books, ebooks, or e books,
  leaving the digital out of it. Keep the domain as it is
  a pretty good domain, but go with more e book optimization.

To get good ranking in Google and other search engines, you will need to get backlinks from relevant pages/sites [sites/pages that themselves have high PR].

Also, add more content in your site.

What Winebuudy said is 100% correct and WILL work

when you have created your blog then you need to register it with

mybloglog.com and blogcatalog.com

Then start 'making friends' and 'joining communities' there, as this will create more interest (especially if you join newly added communities and users as you'll be the first person they see as will every visitor to their profile as your pic is added first to their friends list and stays there for all time)

When people reciprocate and join your community you get a ready made mailing list who you can message with updates.

Yahoo SiteExplorer report no inbound links to your websites.

You have a very good domain name and the domain is already aged.
Just try to get backlinks to your site. You can simply submit it to social networks, forum, and directory.

Hi,

Single phrase keyword "ebook" is highly competitive keyword. You need to do strong link building to get good ranking for that keywords. At first level, You have to go with two o three phrase keywords and do link building on that. Apart from that, you can try networking sites to promote your website and to generate good traffic.

Well if you want to get on the first page of Google you are going to need some quality backlinks pointing to your site. Backlinks on high PR sites and sites that have some age to them and backlinks to them as well will give your site a huge boost in the SERPs. You can check out the system I use as it gets my sites maximum exposure very quickly.

Hi harrysidhu,

I'm going to give you some advice that is contrary to many folks have been telling you. If you follow this advice you will be leaps and bounds ahead of those folks.

Ignore the PR of pages that you are getting backlinks from, instead focus on backlinks highly relevant pages that have significant traffic. Not only will you beat the PR chasers in SERP, you will also garner much more traffic from those relevant links with targeted traffic. You won't need to rely totally on search engine traffic even though you will have plenty of that.

PR is score based on the number of inbound links and does not reliably indicate relevance or traffic. Inbound links from irrelevant pages with little traffic are virtually worthless. The PR of a page is not an indication of quality while relevant traffic is paramount, therefore the more relevant traffic a page has the higher the quality.
