Landing page has average time of 13 seconds. What is so repulsive about it?

Hello all. I recently did a Linkedin PPC campaign for my SEO business where I sent interested traffic to my SEO quote page. I received 14 clicks, but did not get one lead/quote request, and the average time on the page was 13 seconds. I have tried to copy successful landing pages and quote pages and have read several articles about how to make a page that converts, but cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. My SEO skills are excellent, but for whatever reason I SUCK at creating a landing page that converts.

The landing/quote page in question can be found HERE. Does anyone with skill in this area see what is making the bounce rate so high and the conversions so low? I am at a complete loss as to why visitors are so quick to leave...

It's impossible to make suggestions without seeing both the Ad copy that delivered the traffic & sales page.

Does the Ad copy make promises that the sales page doesn't deliver?

If it helps, here is the ad I am using:

      Increase Traffic & Sales
Flood your website with targeted traffic for as little as $149 a month.

Try to have a seperate above-fold type of landing page with bigger fonts. Use red colour for the header or get in touch with me and I do it for you

Thank you for your input. I do not have the additional $$ at the moment, but will definitely hit you up when I do.

I've not seen too many legit businesses with Captchas on forms to engage them. That would be a big put off for me.

your asking quite a lot for a lead capture, like the previous said, put your capture form above the fold... maybe it's just me but on my netbook, i had to scroll, your capture form should never scroll, at least the form part, so basically get rid of the heading.

also try to keep that information to like 2, 3 at max you're asking for 6 inputs AND a captcha? lol the captcha is probably failing you, even humans have a 70% chance of getting a captcha correct.

Honestly i get captchas 40% correct cuz i'm colorblind, ha.

but yea, make it so that the form is above the fold, make it so everything is above the fold if you can and limit yourself to 3 inputs, at most, and get rid of captcha.

all the other stuff like colors and placement (besides above the fold) is subjective imo.

Maybe have the landing page be only the form with a call to action and nothing else. I think the eyes tend to wander all over. Especially as the form is on the right hand column and that is not the first place the eyes go when you hit a site.

BTW, you might want to stop your campaign if you can and then make some changes and restart it.

I tried to use this example as a guide. Someone from another forum recommended it and swears by it. Thanks for the recommendation about pausing the campaign. I actually did remember to do so before I created this thread. The 14 clicks totaled $39 (I had a $50 credit), so I wanted to try to fix the problem before I ran it again.

I have shortened the form and removed the captcha. I will have to figure out how to move the form above the fold.

My initial thought.. too much whitespace.. kind of looks "unfinished". Tighten it all up

Rather than the magnet picture, I would put maybe a crowd of smiling people, like this:

Or something that can relay a 'team' and 'trust factor'. You have a web marketing company.. this picture says "Hey, we like your site! We can do great things to help market it! We are professional and will be open and honest with you".. perhaps most importantly, "We are people, just like you!" ..just a few thoughts and possibilities.

I would also remove the * denotes required field and all the *'s from the form, call it me, but I dont like to be required to do anything, even if subconciously, the whole 'required' thing puts me off. The form tells you if they're required afterward anyways. That might be nitpicky but its just me.

The fonts or wording in the dropdowns and the headlines etc look kind of choppy to me. Dunno if you can control that or not. Maybe change or fix your theme(?)

Increase your paragraph's font size a tad. The text is good, just kinda boring, like too much work to have to read through. Make the paragraph's headlines a different color perhaps, like blue, to create a nice separation of thought and flow.

The top might do justice to have a long rectangular picture with your logo instead of a stock quote thing. If you still like your magnet, you could incorporate that in your logo.

I know it sounds like im ripping your site apart, I assure you im not, the rest look good, just how I see some minor things. Definitely reduce the whitespace though!

It does not look professional. I'm sorry, but it looks like it was randomly thrown together in minutes (I'm sure thats not the case, but I'm saying this is what other peoples impressions will be).

The picture is too big, doesn't grab your attention, its just there taking up space.

Your name and logo are not aligned properly.

The form is lacking a red button. You should also have INSTANT QUOTE! in big red letters (it will perform far better than what you have now).

The testimonies are ok, but not enough to convince me personally. Get social anchors on the site. A facebook like box bloated with xxx amount of likes. A google+. Try to get an enthusiastic but natural video testimony with a real person reviewing your business. Or try to get pictures by the text testimonies, anything to make it seem more realistic/organic.

On top of that, VSL (video sales letters) convert better than anything I can think of, so thats another thing you can consider. You can copywrite a great script, produce a quality video, and put it right under the form. Thats how I do it on my sites usually. Obviously takes a lot of time but saves you money in the end.

Worst of all though, your copy is very weak. It is not emotional in anyway. Its boring, it drags on, it lacks enthusiasm, your defining SEO FFS. This is a landing page. Not a dictionary. Go hang out in the copywriting forum for a few months. Then try again. Thats my best advice.

If it were me I'd redo the whole thing.

Sorry if this bothers you, but I'm trying to save you money & frustration. If you can do all of this, and really doctor the page up, plus pick some good keywords, you'll definitely see conversions.

You have received a lot of advice, but here is one change
you can make that will make all the difference in the world:

Exchange the COLOR and POSITION of the magnet with
    the optin form.

All the grey font also needs to be changed to black.
