Dude I know you are trying to act all cool and stuff but I am telling you just before you come looking for me. I think I know where you live but I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT PICTURE. If they found you they did it all by their lonesome. Theres no window in the shot so its probably somebody you know that has visited your house. Think about that.......MIke had nothing to do with it. Cool? I would never make people know your avatar is fronting the wrong race for cool points.

OP the post you link to has mostly good points (not all) but when you reach all the way to the end you realize its just a big tease and snake oil switching when you read

"Discover an online cheatsheet guaranteed to make your phone ring in 7 days or less"

Yeah uh-huh guaranteed eh? If you are going to criticize the hype you can't do it to switch to your own.

Be very suspect with any WF member who has an avatar of
a "pretty girl" and a name to boot. I guarantee you that those
people are men living in their mom's basement.

If you believe anything those "women" say, or buy what

I think many people here are mad myself. Completely and utterly disconnected from reality and planet earth. They are so short sighted and delusional, and surrounded by people all to happy to cater to that delusion that's it not even funny.

Well actually, it is. Just checking out the Willie Crawford thread where he outlined he was looking for good products/software that have a high 6-figure, 7 figure earning potential.

Alot of the responses that Willie was accosted with are comical and tragic at the same time.

People offering up their $12 ebooks for some 3000 year mystical snake oil magic potion that cures cellulite and other cheap, moronic products, leading right up to a fitness site with not just a 7 figure earning potential, but 8 FIGURE (yes, 1 Billion) earning potential.

I wouldn't say 99% are like that and full of it: delusional, clueless, detached from reality, adrift in their own fantasy land (there are a quite a few on Willie's level, and other who might get their one day and have their head screwed on) but I would put it in 90% range.

How about the initial fact that the majority of "agencies" are actually just one person sitting at home in front of their computer referring to himself as "we", "us", with stock photos of corporate professionals high fiving each other all over their website.

The entire SEO/IM industry is a lie, for some reason I'm just now realizing just how much. I mean I been on this forum for yrs, been called names by people, had conversations with people and don't even know if I'm talking to a women, man, white guy, black guy or a alien.

If I don't even know who I'm talking to, why the hell would I pay you anything to provide services. Starting today if we don't skype or you don't at least have a fb page with pics, I'm not going bother talking. Not to say the showing face means your honest but damn at least let me see who stole my money or scam me lol.

True. I was really disappointed the first few times I visited Flippa. There are countless SEO services sites where the business model is

        1. Receive order and payment from client
        2. Input order to cheap outsourcer
        3. Profit

We try to be transparent with everything. That also means keywords that have 0 searches. This way we can explain to our clients just because you are on page 1 doesn't mean that they are getting traffic. A teachable lesson.

Still not much I have not seen on many SEO sites the OP criticizes and your car window tinting ranking unless I am missing the site is HIGHLY misleading.Maybe more than anything in that article

I don't see you ranking for the term "car window tinting " at all. You are nowhere to be found. SO I presume again unless I am not seeing the site that you mean in the houston area but then you can't use the global searches as the real traffic. The page is not getting anywhere close to that exposure if it is only ranking in Houston

I'd agree with about 90% of the article but its just wrong to me in some of the points and I'll bring up one that You and Nest brought up. Showing you references of sites a SEO has ranked. Why should they show you or Nest? Will you guarantee you will even do business with them after you get to see their resources?

Sorry but for most people on WF I pass. I'll do that for real businesses that pay over a thousand a month and I know their time and focus is on their business not on SEO or IM. Giving out sites ranked to everybody who asked on WF would be positively the stupidest thing to do. Every time you show them you expose all your link resources, all your techniques and teach them for free how to do SEO. Reverse engineering is REAL in this business.

It isn't SEO Bull Its SEO survival.

Even if the links are lily whitehat you are only looking to have your whitehat link partners harrased by giving out your sites and they will figure out who exposed them. Shucks I don't and won't even give out link reports because WF members are notorious for paying a couple months not see ranking immediately and cutting and running like you failed because of their false expectation . I had one that wanted to rank in two weeks and demanded to see my network links. For a few hundred dollars and one payment you expect me to show you what I have spent thousands building? IF we are outside the 6 months window then yes but then for me I'll be handing over some resources with my guarantee

Its precisely the people that give crappy links that are free to give link reports with no risk. They can just push a button on SenukeX and bam they have the links back.

I'll have to agree with Yukon (and that hardly happens in the modern era). Thats a nice page for SEO haters but I can't see a real business looking for a professional being impressed. Truth is by a comment here and there I would be surprised if they didn't use spammy links since they think all SEO is black/grey hat. The article will be a big hit with many people here but seriously how many of them were ever going to hire a SEO when they think they can rank for free with SEO software and a couple of articles?

true any company spouting "guarantee'd #1 rankings" are pure trash and just make links worse than fiverr.
all they do is spam until you're #1, hit the target and conclude the contract, then you google dance your way out of oblivion.

The OP site/link is defiantly not meant for real business SEO services. No offline B&M business would take that serious If they even cared enough to read the flame page/s.

Things like this random snippet from the Index page are posted by teenagers, not business professionals looking for clients:
“Dude. Your offer sucks and your customers don’t care.”
    -Me

    “What do you mean?”
    -Other dude
I guess it's all meant for friends (dudes?) & WF to read.

Ok funny stuff but am I the only one that honestly doesn't accept more than one client per niche per area? It says in the article that that is "snake oil" I would call that "business ethics". My clients pay good money to rank, small businesses with bills to pay. So I get my guy to #1 and the competition comes knocking and me: Sorry I can't help you. And yeah it sucks, money waving in my face and all but I gotta sleep at night. Because what's next? I don't tell my original client that I took on his competitor now that he doesn't need me (because I do everything in my power to avoid endless SEO costs for my clients). So I rank his competitor and then my original client calls me back, probably clueless: "I need your help again" I think that is wrong. I think that's the wrong way to do business. Bad karma.

I hope the article meant it was wrong to say it and not do it. Or looking at it again maybe it's the high pressure sell they are condemning. I've never been a fan of that either. Most of my business now comes from referral but when I was starting out I would cold call folks on Google but only AFTER I did some research. I'd search for "maid service Nashville" or whatever then I'd look at the top 5. I'd see the guy in spot 3 was the real deal, experienced mom and pop business. He would be doing business the right way but was pushed down on the SERPs by spam SEOs in the top 2. So I'd call him "This is why I'd like to work with you..." And you know what? It worked. Not every time but often enough that I built a tidy little business off of those calls back then. Yay for ethics

I think that at least 50% of the culpability is on the person buying the snake oil.

Sure, there are plenty of scammy SEOs out there. But there are also plenty of gullible people willing to part with their money in exchange for "10,000 high PR Links!".

If you take the time to learn SEO you'll be able to easily separate the scams from legit SEO providers.
