A price to get higher in search engines?

I'm sure here are many experienced people in IM... I am wondering how much people are willing to pay to get for example from 6-10 position in google search to 4,3,2 or 1. I understand that it depends on website, competition, etc... Still would like to get an estimate, maybe from your experiences, or just your thoughts.

    It varies greatly, depending on who is wanting to SEO their website.

    On the one hand, people will make a calculation about how much they are willing to spend based on the amount of money they are earning from their website.

    On the other hand, those who have not yet seen any money earned from their website OR those who are short-sighted and refuse to spend much money to get the job done.

    Some people believe that all SEO should come for free, and others are willing to spend as much as it takes to get to the top.

    Most SEO services are priced at the low-end of the market. If you hire someone, who doesn't have confidence in the work that they do, then you can pick up a wide-range of SEO services for under $100 or $200 on a per job basis.

    Many years ago, I priced my SEO services to the middle of the market.

    At the time, I was looking at high-end competitors who were charging as much as $30,000 or $40,000 per month for SEO services.

    I priced my SEO services between $5,000 and $20,000 per month, and I had many clients who were willing to pay that much for SEO services.

    What you need to know is that:

    * There is no such thing as an AVERAGE PRICE; and
    * Your results will differ greatly from mine and everyone else's results.
