Casino Affiliates and Google

So, I have a question. Let's start with a statement:

I am no good at the technical aspects of SEO. I do article marketing and I know how to write a blog that appeases readers first and does enough that Google likes it.

Now that's out of the way

Casino Affiliates.

It appears the top ranks in Google on all the competetive keywords are taken up by sites using thin content and underhand methods. This is in direct opposition to other types of keywords.

Therefore, how would you recommend boosting the SE results for a casino affiliate site?

Let's say I'm not interested in article marketing for a moment, I just want to use SEO methods to rank for certain high profile keywords. What would you do?

Cheers.

  • Go to AAC in June and ask the SuperAffiliates :-)

Forex & Gambling is a LOT of connection stuff and buying Links from strong niche sites. However you might rank sites with your own satelite sites and strong Web 2.0s.
  • The thing right now with gambling related niches are churn and burn sites, ranking today (and tomorrow, and few more days if you're lucky) while raking in money then throwing these sites when they get de-indexed or rankings go down, then they repeat the process.

Ranking a site in this niche for the long term costs thousands of dollars a month (campaigns/links etc).

    • What kind of content can casino affiliates create?
There's not much there, nor needed.

Thin content is all you need. There's nothing wrong with
thin content. In fact, in many cases, it rules.

As far as underhanded methods, that's your opinion.

The first rule in SEO: There are no rules.

  • Must be hard to come up with plentiful unique content for gambling or casino sites unless you go down the route of...

"This is bad for you! - but sign up anyway!"
