Finding Profitable Keywords.

Hey all

Is there any way of finding profitable keywords, without doing a lengthy testing process?

I mean without putting resources into creating many different landing and sales pages.

Even a way to gauge them. I was thinking the google keyword tool to check how popular a term is, but then that doesn't show you how profitable it is, does it?

Thanks!

  • The only other way I know how is if someone else tells you theirs, assuming you have almost identical monetization models, pricing structure, sales funnels, traffic sources, etc.

There are plenty of spy tools that you can use out there to see what people are paying for certain keywords on certain platforms, but ultimately, you're going to WANT to test them on your own anyway because the education you will gain will be priceless.

  • Product names and keywords with review/reviews in front of or behind are money keywords. Check the google ads, to see if the keyword is full of ads, and if it is, you can better people are making money from them.

    • The Google Adwords keyword tool can give you an estimate of how much the click is worth, not just show traffic. Also Alex above gave some good advice.

Just cut the amount in half that the Google Adword tool gives you. If it say the keyword is worth $3.00, than around $1.50 would be the actual click worth. Many of my keywords I aim at are worth $2.50 according to Google and I average about $1.00 a click.

    • That's interesting what you say...although say the key word was "roulette strategy". Wouldn't many more people search for that than "roulette strategy review"?

Thanks all for your input, I am learning.

  • Google adwords, wordtracker these are the tools used out of thousands available, which is good for some estimation and assumptions for you to start from. After that you need to test by yourself and that is how you will get your winner keywords.

  • You need to learn how to find goldmine in the rough.

While Google keyword tool will show you how much a keyword generate each and every month but it can not tell you if it will be profitable for you.

It's left for you to determine if it's a buying keyword and also how to make your site convert the visitors. Some people end up blaming keywords for ill performance meanwhile they didn't have the right kind of site or system setup to convert these visitors to sales.

I suggest you take your time and visit YouTube, there are lots of videos on proper keywords research. Narrow down your keywords and you will get good videos showing exactly what you want..
  • after years of IM/MMO/SEO and more, I`ve come to develop a sense about these things, you`ll do too with enough experience. You see a keyword, you do a little research to see what kinds of people buy the products and you just know..
