Something I never understood with the SERPS and People here

I don't know, I get a bit confused. People claim this and that. One that stood out "Great content." "Make your site look good" "Make an authority looking site." All these factors to hit the first page. "High PR Backlinks."

Well, this site has no PR, gritool and I see that it has products that are ranked on the first page of Google.

It looks like a bunch of scraped /spun content that's just ranking up there.

  • SEMRush didn't show it ranking for anything. What keywords is it supposed to be ranking for.
  • I don't see anything. All I care about is unique content and backlinks - that's it.

    My unique content can be 200 words or 1,000 words, I don't care. My backlinks come from my own network and nowhere else. Those two factors have driven my internet business from a once shoddy $1 per day to an extremely successful campaign.

      There's still authority sites ranking higher (lumberjocks & finewoodworking). Finewoodworking actually has a print magazine sold in bookstores, I used to buy the magazine in the 90's.

      It most likely took less work for those authority sites to rank higher than Amazon affiliate site, especially considering the Amazon affiliate site is blasting completely random niches all over a single domain. Those two authority sites probably did zero external SEO for that [exact] keyword phrase (still ranking pages).

    The site is benefiting from Query Freshness. The results will only be there for a limited time, before Google drops the site / deindexes it.

    It's known as an automatic publishing blog. Keyword stuff & spam each post until Google's bot figures out that it's keyword spam.

    It's a short-term method for generating profits. I prefer long-term businesses though.

    • I care because I've profited from them. I didn't know that Internet marketing is ONLY about going for high searches and medium - high competition.

      The other day I posted a low competition + low search keyword and profited $40 from it. It took me effing no more than 10 minutes to do it.

      For f*#@ sakes, I'll run my business the way I want it.
